EPG + mass channel issues

Hi all, i am newly set up with Iptv Stalker with a paid for client running on kodi on a firestick. Channels work well but there a mass of them. Too many for my little brain to deal with everytime i log on Kodi spends 30 mins loading the epg for each channel (and then fails to add the info after all that time). In the short term is there any way to cut of the epg load? This impacts the fire-stick's ability to run anything else at the same time.
In fact i would like to get rid of many of the channels but this is another question for another time.

The EPG shouldn't take anywhere near that long to load, even on a 1 Meg RAM device like the Fire Stick. You are using PVR Stalker client, correct? You are using the remote URL for the EPG source in the configuration?

Hi Ilan, thanks for helping out it really is much appreciated. I am using Stalker client but am not sure for the EPG. The client is pulling off a stalker portal server but for the EPG.

I have looked into it again. The server provider instructed the use of 'preferred provider'. And the reason the epg import runs for 30 mins is that it fails but continues in vein. I am still to have any epg info on any of the channels
