what would cause the stb emulator to freeze up while scrolling up and down through the channels and then reboot ? the channels show up fine ..and the vlc plugin seems to work ..it shows the picture when I press ok...any ideas ? cant seem to figure out what would cause it to freeze and kick me out..I am using a dreamlink T6 box under android apps
For best video picture quality play back what setting should be used in the emulator. Also would one get better picture quality using internal or external player like xmtv. or please recommend one with settings info. Thanks

with internal or vlc with internal plug in you can change channels directly from player.....Quote:

Ok i tried with internal player all i get is black screen....... if i use external like vlc or mxplayer.... picture works, what would cause this issue.

9 press Menu button and exit STB emulator
10 Restart STB emulator and the portal should load all the programming
*If it still gives error, Change your MAC Address to a random address and then Change it back to your real one, then restart STB emulator and it should work.
** If you use another device with same MAC, copy the SAME "mac" & "serial number" & "device id" into the settings of that device and then both will work (one at a time of course)

I guess I was too early to verify that same device ID can be used in STB Emulator and another app (like IPTV STALKER in kodi), but turns out "IT DOES NOT WORK" that way, IF you register the device ID using stb emulator it will only work in stb emulator and vice versa.Quote:

Running an M8, with kodi 15.2 stalker pvr 8.3 or 8. 4 , cant remember right now, using stb 6.16, using the mac i originally signed up with, made Up serial # etc, stb and, stalker have the same settings, both work fine, i really dont get changing mac and all, and i am using 78: in the mac address, i used the same instructions for the stb, except i did not change the mac, how ever it took 4 or 5 trys, and what made it work, was i unplugged the box for a few mins.Quote:

I am a new user with a new donation. I entered my 78 number into my STB emulator software on my Chinese Android M8 and the service is working well.
BUT.....
I did not generate any Serial or Device ID's or check the Send DEVICE ID info. I used all defaults on the profile. Yet it still works. If you were me would you let this go since it is working or proceed with adding\changing serial and Device ID and send button check?
My concern is, of course, that it stops working at some point! Thanks much!
