I purchased a second mag254 for a friend and found that the remote was bad so contacted infomir that I purchased from to get a replacement and got NO REPLY. Purchased a after market through ebay seller for $10.44 free shipping and is a better product. The original is JUNK see picture Attachment 716

you will get faulty electronic equipment from time to time, it's not usual but does happen.
Doesn't mean that it's junk thou :eek:

Your aftermarket remote looks smiliar my MAG 260 remote.

It is the older INFOMIR remote. It is the thicker one.

My other boxes (MAG 254, MAG 275, AuraHD Plus and AuraHD International) was sold with the newer, thinner INFOMIR remote.
