I have the ONN 4k boxes and they are great. I have the Kokaleka IPTV setup along with a couple other free server setups on it. The one thing that leaves alot to be desired is the interface. Instead of lists, its boxes of the episodes and shows. I can't see someone loving having to scroll through hundreds or thousands of channels just to get to the "Familiar" programs and channels...

Now I change to Mag 322 and its working fine.

The Mag 5xx series models are not guarantied to work with papiao or iptv66 servers.
Some may, but it's not guarantied any of them will, the models in the 5xx series that is.

This app is for Androids so it won't work on a laptop, but the VLC can be installed on Laptop...

I tried the Smarter app on my TV which works with 4K but it doesn't have any search option to locate what you want to watch, so you need to waste a lot of time scrolling. I also couldn't get the parental password to work on it.

The Mag box was great except for the missing 4K movies.

Any suggestion as to what boxes will work with 4K and also have a working search function and parental controls?

You'd have to use the M3U connection method (as opposed to the MAC method). The m3u method is found as an option with most of your iptv devices that you may be using. Can also be used with most external Players. The 'm3u URL' or the 'm3u hardcopy'
With the m3u URL being the preferred way :)
