Lots of water in Florida. Over 3 million people without power.
I see a most recent report from BBC , they say there were 63 confirmed died. But just a couple hours ago I heard on a radio station that the count was above 90. It's still chaos in the area though I can imagine
The Hurricane made landfall Friday, hitting the west coast of Florida and moving north into Georgia over the weekend.
North Carolina was hit hard by flooding.

I hope all our friends in California are safe from the fires spreading thru-out the west.
I know some of our members and staff live in California.

Been reading reports about the fires and the reports are non-stop.
It's unbelievable at what we are seeing

Everything that could have went wrong on Wednesday, did go wrong.
Fires have reached Jasper's townsite Wednesday evening.
Jasper is located in Canada's Rocky Mountains on the border of Alberta and British Columbia.
The town is at the western edge of the Jasper/Banff Provincial Park, with Banff located at the eastern edge.

With our lack of snow over the winter and hardly any rain this spring, Alberta is a tinder box
We have the Rocky Mountains to the west from north to south.
Central Alberta is fairly safe due to not being in the forested areas, but not by much.

Towns and townships have and are being evacuated since 10 or 12 days ago now.

October 25 at about 1:00 a.m. , a category 5 hurricane appeared from no where and tore thru Acapulco. The population of the city itself is approx 600,000 souls
We are not hearing much of anything on what is happening there. This hurricane came with no warning.
The Media is blacked out and the government is not letting people in the area.

Just 1 or 2 days ago, Lytton BC recorded the highest temperature ever recorded in Canada , and perhaps all of the world !

49.5 degrees Celcious ... that's hot !!

Late Wednesday afternoon (yesterday), a fast moving fire ripped thru the community, destroying most of the town.
Everyone was evacuated to a close by town. The town's people evacuated in less then 10 minutes with no seconds to spare.

Hurricane Delta has weakened to a Category 1 storm after making landfall as a Category 2 near Creole, Louisiana (Oct 9).

What has been bothering me (among other things) is what is and is going to be happening with plastics during this pandemic.
As an example, here in my small city, the city council set a bylaw a few months ago (maybe 6 months ago), which stopped the use of single use plastics. No more plastic shopping bags and other single use items.
