how to set up recording from a mag 254 to a dvd recorder ,,,

i have tried it many ways but i cant seem to get it ,,there are a lot of smart people here do you think you explain how to use a dvd recoder to record off the mag 254 ,,,i like to know how to set up and record from the mag254 to the dvd recorder from /or to the tv ,,thats all i ask then i would be a happy man ,,once i can accomplish this i can get rid of my cable company who is giving me a hard time..even a picture ,,please can some one help ,,thank you all..

Did recorcd from mag254 to DVDs recorder with the 1x3 supplied. Cables and it worked with res set low, fairly sure it will be ok comingfrom the TV out to recorder.
Set the recorder on imput so you can see program is showing before you press record

theuduk,,, i thank you for helping me ,,i did get it to work ,,,i had this posted on all three sites and so far no one had the answer for me ,,,yes it can be done but how i wanted to know ,,and you gave me the how ,,,and i thank you for that ,,,
