The PVR client starts up and after channels and guide finish loading….Kodi crashes.

Usually I restart and it happens again...then it stops.

The only other processes I have running automatically on startup is genesis library updating and some add-on called ororotv asking me for login details….could these be causing some sort of conflict?

Its not a huge problem…but Id rather it didn't happen.

Anyone get this on KODI STARTUP?

LOL….it happens so fast, theres no time to do that. The channel/guide loading completes and boom….instantly it crashes.

Not a huge deal, but interesting to see Im not the only one who has it.

I un plug the box for a bit, thats seems to cure it most of the time

It is ether a memory issue for such devices as the Fire Stick but I found it to be mostly due to improperly formatted XML data. You may have to restart Kodi a couple of times before it will load.

If it happens often enough to be almost predictable, you might try disabling the EPG and doing several Kodi exits and restarts. If the PVR loads fine w/o the EPG, you're heading toward establishing causality.

Go to settings and clear cache in kodi app

Just for my knowledge, how does one disable epg on Kodi? Is it through Settings>TV>Guide?

Yes that's the simplest thing to do.

Alternatively, after the first crash & upon relaunching Kodi for those that have the maintenance tool program addon just access it straight away after launching Kodi as the channels are loading & clear cache from general maintenance, there's usually enough time to do that before a second crash.
