Hi,

Let me just get to the bottom of it. Some of my sticks I am seeing when I am watching a movie in Genesis, it will kick me out in the middle of the movie. This stick also has LiveTV (using Stalker Client, 0.8.4, 15.2 RC2)

Now when I use a firestick without LiveTV - the same movie, same link - will play all the way through.

I am thinking it is something to do with the memory usage between LiveTV and Genesis, but I would like some feedback if possible on any advance settings that people are using where both are living happy together on a firestick.

The following changes I am trying right now.

I am only loading 1 day of the Guide vs. 3 days.
Here are my advanced settings, got this from a forum post on here as well

<advancedsettings>

<nofliptimeout>0</nofliptimeout>
</gui>

<ignoreerrors>true</ignoreerrors>
</videoscanner>
</advancedsettings>

Any help really appreciated.

Fire sticks are good but the lack of Ram is mostly the culprit, you should invest in the new fire TV box 2nd Gen. With 2gb of ram it fly's, I had 3 of them for bout a month and it perform's 10 times better than the sticks I had for months previously.

Also you need to constantly clear cache on the sticks or it will boot you out. Also make sure you're on "xmlt only" in the stalker app

The amount of ram is definitely not the culprit. I have 8 gb of ram on my ott box and stalker will kick you out several times a day and it doesn't matter which version of stalker they all do it and it doesn't really matter what version of kodi I'm using they will kick me out with stalker. Its not a huge deal just go back in. Genessis has never done it though.

One thing I see is that your cachemembuffersize is to bug for one gig ram. Try <cachemembuffersize>78643200</cachemembuffersize>

Hi all,

Thanks for the dialogue. Just some more information, leans me to think its like Alucard said - cachemembufffersize related. When I disable the LiveTV - I have not seen an issue with the movies playing.

One more question - to reduce the memory that LiveTV is using, can I reduce the Guide loading from the default 3 days to 1 day? What is actually taking up the memory (is it the Guide and the Channel listings?) - I am trying to see if I can get the memory usage down for LiveTV so that both can co-exist without me having to disable/enable the LiveTV.

Thanks again.

Yes reducing the number of days as well as disabling the channels you do not use will help. I did notice that the 8.0.3 is more of a CPU hog then the 8.0.4 so using that version may help in your interface speed. I have noticed anything more than 80% mem usage will cause issues with Kodi crashing.

If you want to clean up your channels, try this: http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?8634-Kodi-PVR-Channel-Template-Loader
