SD card slot

Can this slot be used to load streaming movies from ?

Some movies are bigger than 2 GB and don't have space to load from internal space.

i run movies off my hd to box now streaming movies from kodi yes tvonline no and sd slot i think is read only and i want to get 128 gig one to test like 40 bucks and movies need to be ntfs i even run 3d movies off it
