Bad or missing serial number!!

I have a donation and have been using the stalker addon in kodi for ever and never had a major problem, but last night and today I'm getting the error message bad or missing serial number.. What's gone wrong? I don't have an option in the settings to input a serial number! My version of stalker is 9.0.19 and has always worked flawlessly. Can some kind soul please help

I am having the same issue, I'm going to check my email and see if I can change my mac and use a different version. This system that is setup is def. awkward. Never had a reason to post, service has been working fine for the most part, but this has given me reason too. Whats up?

Here How I Get fixed this issue

Go to IPTV Stalker Settings
Then Select Send Serial Number Option

Press OK... All done... No need to add any Serial Number. Just check that Check Box.

The whole point of donating etc was to use IVue so its seamless. More to the point how can they just change stuff so it just all breaks. Server upgrades etc I don't mind and perfectly acceptable. This isnt.

Oh The only way As I see is Adding Send Serial Number Option... Worked for me. Now have no any problems. I unchecked that option and it getting that error again... :confused: So only way is is Adding Send Serial Number Option

Thank you for your quick response. I was having an issue before and reverted to the v1.0.18; however, one of my last updates must of forced the new version through, as I had disabled the updates, or one of the kids accepted it. I will wait to see what the fix is from here as I changed my MAC address yesterday and that worked until today. Lol. It seems to always be something.

First off you are using a modified version of the Stalker Client that was updated to help with iVue users and stop the confusion with the usage of sending the serial numbers. So this version has that Send serial number option removed. This has nothing to do with NFPS and was do by someone here on the board to help you guys out.

Now in my option, I suspect that your serial number has been hijacked, the reason I believe this is that these guys are enabling the serial numbers. All the 9.x clients do not send the serial numbers and hence the issue. You can attempt to change your MAC or will need to downgrade to 1.0.18 until it is fixed but not sure how this will affect the iVue users. Not sure why you would want to use iVue anyway when the PVR Stalkers with Live TV gives you more options and is better integrated.

Yes i know 9.0.19 was built by Dara and IVue and eternally grateful for that. I prefer iVue to the pvr stuff as i can mix streams from other sources etc. Hoping Dara can fix 9.0.x with a send serial number setting

I have same problem and so does my dad, i presume its the same for anyone using the latest version of stalker without the send serial option.

Something has changed and it needs sorting please. I understand i can downgrade but it will just upgrade again anyway unless I stop every addon from auto updating, which i dont want to do

Hi all I think the problems are this if you downgrade to versions 1.2 or 1.18 stalker will work has theses have the send serial number functions but you will have to disable updates which of course cancels updates for any other apps , version 1.19 was introduced to get Ivue to work with stalker the only way this works in this app is by removing the send serial number function
So now the dilemma 1.2 and 1.18 will work but you have to disable updates and no Ivue or wait for a mod I'm in limbo at the moment will have to wait and see what dara says or Ivue in fact or is there any or Ivue type programmes out there that will intergarate the same without all this hustle

I run my sub through iVue and had 9.0.19 and was very satisfied. Had rearranged the channels to suit me . Then got the message about the serial number. Now I am very unsatisfied. I do understand the problem that they have with the stealing services, but wish that they would have installed the guide just like iVue. Then we would no be having all this problem. I did read about the serial number option to protect my donation mac address, but I want a guide like iVue also.

thats ok, no problem downgrading I just want to prevent it from updating without blocking all my other updates.

If this was just a version to allow stalker to be used with ivue it should have been an optional update not a forced one.

Updated version 9.0.21 posted. It works with iVue, and will allow entry of your custom serial number. Don't just "Send Serial Number".

EDIT2: Okay - trying to be helpful here. For completness sake and to possibly help Mrcraig...

Use PVR Stalker 0.8.3 so you can enter the serial info and disable any other clients before using the instructions below.

I then followed these steps as posted by another user (Alucard)



Stalker PVR Setup Instructions
1. Go to this link and generate a new MAC. hxxp://www.hellion.org.uk/cgi-bin/randmac.pl?scope=global&oui=00%3A1A%3A78&type=mult icast. Replace xx with tt.
2. Associate the new MAC with your donation. If it fails, repeat 1 and 2 until it accepts the MAC.
3. Go to Settings, Addons, PVR and select the Stalker Client.
4. Select Configure.
5. Select Portal 1
6. Enter the MAC address that you generated and linked in steps 1 & 2
7. Enter the Server Address. It can be hxxp: //portal.iptvprivateserver.tv/stalker_portal/c/ or 11.iptvprivateserver.tv Replace xx with tt.
8. Set the Time Zone your in. You can use this site to get the correct Time Zone Name: hxxps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones Replace xx with tt.
9. Use your donation number for both Login and password.
10. Set Guide Preference to Prefer Provider
11. Set XMLTV Scope to Remote URL.
12. Set XMLTV Remote URL to hxxp://is.gd/NFPSF Replace xx with tt.
13. Click OK to change it.
14. Go to C:\Users\<LOGIN>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\add on_data\pvr.stalker on Windows or
/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/pvr.stalker on Android and open the settings.xml
15. Insure the connection_timeout value is at 60 and then save the changes.
16. Go back to Kodi and assuming you still have the Stalker Client Plugin up and enable the Stalker PVR Client. If not see step 3 to get back to it.
17. Back out to your Kodi Settings Menu and select TV/Live TV and enable the Live TV.

This should start the PVR Stalker client. Give it a few minutes to load the guide information. Once loaded you should have a TV option on your main menu (Skin Dependent).
Select it to watch TV. You should also have a sub menu under that for the EPG.

Now open the 'settings.xml' file in your kodi directory under the '.../userdata/addon_data/pvr_stalker' directory and change the "login_0" and "password_0" to your donation number and enter random 23-digit long numbers for "device_id2_0" and "device_id_0". Set "serial_number_0" to a random 13-digit number and "signature_0" to a random 13-digit number. Change "connection_timeout" to 90. I also prefer "xmltv_url_0" value="http://**********/NFPSE.xml" Save the file.

Now go back to Kodi and disable / renable the PVR Stalker 0.8.3 add-on. You may need to 'clear data' under the Settings > TV menu as well. I'm not sure if the length of the digits really matter or not, but it's what I used.

Finally got it. Id and Id2 and signature must be 4 numbers long. After this change it loaded channels. My mac is now a 79 not 78. Not sure if this matters. Its when i changed to 4 numbers in id that it worked. And 13 numbers in serial number. Thanks all

All you need is to add the donaion number to the serial number in stalker client.. For the emulator, same thing, add the donation number to the serial number.

Once again the Stalker Client reigns supreme, I opted to simply uninstall IPTV Stalker Add on and just use STB.

For some of us who use the TV Tab for a different source the IPTV Stalker client does not come into play, I have not found a proper how to integrate 2 sources for your Live Tv Tab on Kodi and I don't really want to mix the 800 channels from IPTV with the other source I am using.

I am going with STB emulator to watch my IPTV channels and a different source for the TV tab on Kodi.

I've been using donation number as serial which is only 12 digits so I just add a "0" at the front of it to make it 13 digits. I've used random 4 digit numbers for device ID1,Device ID2 and Signature. I have the same exact settings in my IPTV Stalker App and I can watch TV fine only from IPTV Stalker app. I cant get this to work with Stalker Client. I've changed MAC and relinked MAC to n success. Can someone please tell me something I'm possibly overlooking? I cant be the only one that is still stuck. By the way I have Stalker Client 0.8.4 and Stalker App 9.0.21.

If your stalker client is working, then make sure you are using the same values in the PVR Stalker. Also if you just used the Stalker Client, the session key is still locked to the Stalker Client, you need to toggle the live TV enabled option so the session key is reset.

Try uninstalling Kodi and then reinstall it. Maybe something got messed up with the PVR Client.

Got it working. Changed my server address to 11.iptvprivatestalker.tv from hxxp://portal.iptvprivateserver.tv. Hope this helps anyone else having issues
