iptv stalker or pvr stopped working

ive been in touch with papiao regarding an issue im having not long ago there was a update for iptv stalker sent out which was version 1.20 this was not an update that was anything to do with the updates we get from the offical source, like many i had my autoupdates enabled and 1 setting was send the serial id but we could remove the addon without issue until a few days ago when papiao completed some big changes within the servers which have tightend up the secure sending of information and now if your iptv stalker addon is setup the way mine is which is only the mac then you will get an authorization error.
to check that this is why your addon isnt working you may need to uninstall iptv stalker and reinstall version 1.0.18 as this version has the option to send the mac,id & serial if its not selected "send the serial or ID" and you get an error authorization failed enable the option "send serial number" then clear the cache of kodi and retry opening kodi you should now be able to enter the channels if so im not sure theres any way to find out what the procedure is to find the code ive checked the logs for infomation, you wont be able to use the pvr until the serial number has been removed by papiao and then you can setup your own serial if you wish until then you will only get a message from the pvr stating error a missmatch of ID unable to load channels.
you will need to contact papaio with the infomation stated in the email they send you.
this information is based on kodi via the pc but the same guide can be used on all boxes also

Please check the IPTV Stalker forum under the Kodi Discussion and in the stickies for clean IPTV Stalker versions. The versions posted there do not have the "send serial number" set as default, and you do not have to contact papaio to clear your MAC ... you just need to change your MAC after properly clearing the settings.xml in your userdata/addons_data/plugin.video.stalker folder. Specifically, look at post #2 in the 9.0.20 thread.

After this is done, you can chose to use 1.0.18 or 9.0.20, but make sure you turn off autoupdates, as some repositories may still have versions that have the "send serial number" flag as default. You can then set up a user defined serial number in 1.0.18, if you are concerned that someone may be hijacking your chosen MAC. Look for a thread by Alucard for that.

The issue with the "Send Serial Number" setting is if you don't set a Custom Serial Number along with it, you will eventually have authentication errors. Also, you will have to accept that if you set that flag in IPTV Stalker, you will have issues with the emulators, and probably with PVR Stalker UNLESS you set the custom serial number exactly the same.

To expand on dara's post. The reason you will eventually get the auth errors if you just set the send serial numbers is because your MAC still can be hijacked. The serial number is based on your MAC so anyone that finds your MAC not in use and has the Send Serial number enabled will be able to hijack your MAC. To prevent this you must use custom serial number. See here:

and could i add comment to hipster any updates done within the dev department we dont need to be informed of the only information we would recieve is if its a change to the address,ports,channels or anything around them areas they certainly dont need to inform us of their security changes i added this post for alot of people whos for no fault of their own woke up to find they no longer had acess to the server. Alucard this error is not down to having a mac address hijacked its down to the fact an auto update was pushed out by someone and its pre-settings were fixed with the seial send already enabled the only way to have this ammended is to contact papiao ive completly changed my mac removed kodi "all information and guides from papaio" checked the mac is secure to my account and had it cross checked with the growing blacklist of mac that papaio have and this mac has never been used. you only get 1 chance to setup the serial numbers to secure your mac it would be great if you could add to your post an example of the serial key so it can be setup for those of us thats never had 1 ie lengh of serial if the serial is the same length as the id and signature

hello m8 ive just installed kodi fresh nothing else on ecept for the version your post directed me to prior to installing the addon and kodi i switched off autoupdates to notify only so even the kodi basic addons cant update prior to installing kodi my mac was changed and verified i then installed plugin.video.stalker - NFPS addon entered my new mac and port which i also changed and i was told authorization failed i know that papiao have made changes and to what part of the security its been made but this error people are getting isnt a fix that can be done following the steps of your post m8 its a new security feature thats been done within the server and its only been done in the last 4 days or so, them steps would have helped out prior to this update but they wont work now to get back to viewing i must use a version of iptv stalker that has the option to enable sending of the serial and to get the epg im unable to use pvr as before but i can add all my channels into my favorites folder install ivue guide thats been updated to work with stalker and when chosing a stream for the channel enter my favourites folder to select and save. thats what the whole point of this post was to point out theres alot of people getting these errors and so this post was done on the other site "which was removed" and also this site but i must make it clear i dont just contact papaio they in turn contact myself due to my work background this post can be deleted if must but its a big issue thats alot of people can get help from.

You can just use the 1.0.18 version of IPTV Stalker if you want to experiment with the "send serial number". If you want to use the 9.0.20 version with the serial number mess enabled, just take the settings.xml from 1.0.18's resource folder and replace that in 9.0.20. You will also need to find the line that disables the "send serial number" in the code as well.

The key is to maintain a clean MAC with either no serial number information, or fully customize the serial number. There might be other factors, like ISPs blocking connections that can't be fixed easily.

Please read my post. I expanded on dara's comment as to why some times you get this error and how to prevent hijacking of your MAC. Also just setting the custom serial number alone as you stated does nothing. You need to fill in the Serial Number, Device ID 1 and 2, and the signature before this is enabled. Leaving any of them blank will give you a false sense of security of thinking it is enabled when it is not.

you need to hit send serial in order for iptv stalker to work.... some things have changed.. for those using iptv stalker, hit send serial, and it should be ok

Its not that easy... if you set that on IPTV Stalker, the MAC probably won't work on other addons or emulators unless it has the exact same serial number.

The current modified version on the site (9.0.20) will not send the serial number. If that's what is required by the server, I will post an update that would force a complete custom serial number to be created per the Alucard instructions. Apparently, just setting the "Send Serial Number" creates a pseudo serial number based on the MAC, so just setting that will still allow the hijackers to use that MAC.

The thing is...I get nothing but errors trying to set a 13 digit serial number..only works without one but with send serial checked using version 9.0.21
