i followed this guide http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?4483-How-to-set-up-pvr-stalker-with-NFPS-and-have-a-Full-EPG&highlight=channels to set up iptv on my amazon fire stick running kodi and the channels all loaded fine, but whenever I go to open the guide kodi crashes. I have tried a few of the alternative XMLTV links posted but I get the same result every time. I can watch tv if I select channels, but this has all the channels available while I only really wanted to see the UK based channels plus a few of the sports and movie channels. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

clear as much ram as possible (revoot), and use the English guide only if youre english speaking its smaller.

I've rebooted the fire stick countless times, how do i choose an english only guide?

Fire sticks do not have enough ram to run any pvr client smoothly. Sorry.

I think deep down I already knew that :(
I followed this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnN9mfIfPtw and installed iVue TV guide and linked it with IPTV stalker and my MAC address. Seems to be exactly what I was after to be fair so can't complain.
Thanks anyway

NFPSE instead of NFPSF in ninja epg it can run the pvr client. try browse the menus or statr a channel while its loading data, for some odd reason i seen it work several times.
edit: you can also try not caching the guide under system/tv/guide i never tried that and i do not have a stick. (don't worry it wont put more load on the server)
I had the same issue with the Fire Stick. At times it would load the menu successfully. Other times it would crash Kodi. I used the English only guide to save on overhead, but it was and miss. One GIG of RAM just doesn't cut it. The other issue I had was the blasted times in the program guide were always off. No matter what I did, the guide time wouldn't jibe with the actual program time.

if you go to ********** in a browser you will see theres an option for non daylight saving ie- one hour off.
again try starting use kodi or just start watching while the guide is loading, i know it sounds far fetched but as said i've seen this work many times for some odd reason.

or better can one of you post a full log on pastebin where it goes wrong? search the file first for your mac and blank it.
that way we should be able to nail it down. coz if you go to sysinfo while it loads there is mem available. i believe some run this on a rpi 1B even.
Thanks... I will give it whirl later. I'm pretty sure I uninstalled Stalker NFPS, so I'll need to reinstall it for the test. But you're saying to start watching a program before starting the guide, correct?

Use stalker client, enter your mac address, server should be 11.iptvprivateserver.tv make sure you select "xmltv only" and guidance should be http://**********./NFPSED.xml

yeah.. or just browse around among the channel list basically just making activity in kodi.. you can use the "build in" stalker client for a quick test.

No problem. I had to build a mini pc myself to use any pvr silky smooth. Anything with only 1GB of ram is just not enough for any of the pvr clients to run smoothly.
