Best modem and router

For wired connection from router, does it matter which modem or n router equipment you choose? Does the iptv setting on some routers make as difference? I am experiencing freezing during peak viewing hours and am looking for solutions.

have you try to increase buffer size on the iptv box that you are using it will help with freezing
