In a shocking development, Johny Hendricks has been forced to withdraw from his bout against Tyron Woodley at UFC 192.
Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White announced the news on Twitter Friday morning, citing that weight-cutting issues were to blame for his withdraw from the card.
Woodley will not compete at UFC 192 due to the difficulty in finding such a late-notice opponent.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto is reporting that Hendricks suffered a kidney stone and a blockage in his intestines Thursday night, and was rushed to the emergency room due to his difficulties cutting weight.
As a result of the cancelation of Hendricks-Woodley, Joseph Benavidez versus Ali Bagautinov has been moved to the main card and will be the second fight on Saturday’s pay-per-view, Sherdog.om has learned. The news was also confirmed by UFC press relations guru Dave Sholler in a Twitter post on his personal account.
