I have been seeing a lot of posts about peoples MAC addresses stop working randomly and the only way to resolve it is to change your MAC. This normally will result in unable to retrieve URL or not authorized messages. The most likelihood is that someone has found your MAC as a working MAC and are using it watch TV on your dime. I believe this is how these fake stalker or services are hijacking the NFPS streams by hijacking working MACs.

This can easily be prevented by enabling the sending of the serial number. This will prevent anyone that does not have the correct serial information being blocked from using your MAC and tying it up.

1. You will need to go to your portal configuration in the Stalker client that you are using.
2. Enable sending of the serial number.
3. Enable custom serial number.
4. Enter a serial number of your choosing
5. Enter a number for Device 1.
6. Enter a number for Device 2.
7. Enter a number for your signature.

Note:
Items 4, 5, 6, and 7 must have values for this to work.
If your using the same MAC on multiple devices, the same information needs to be entered. Same is true if your using multiple clients on the same machine such as PVR Stalker and Stalker Video clients.

I have not tested the max yet but I assume it probably does not matter. I have up to 23 in mine.

the other fix would be use the access code they send you in the avov can't do it with the mag that I am aware of though but would close down that avenue off access

Does this work for the Mag STBS also?
Or are their MAC not hijackable only the ones used in the different Android Stallker Apks?

No for Kodi user they can use any random MAC for the last 3 segments. Use the link below to generate a random MAC for you. You may have to try multiple times as the MAC that is generated may be in use.

stalker addon version 9.0.20 AND version 9.0.21 both wont work with and serial number information and /or numbers in id fields..only works with send serial option checked and other fields left completely blank

Agreed, Stalker 9.0.21 doesnt work with custom serial number fields set. Tbh, am struggling to understand how the custom serial number would stop it being hijacked. Surely it has to tie up with something on the authentication server?

9.0.21 does work 9.x below this does not. You must fill out Serial Number, Device ID 1 & 2, and the Signature filed in order to use custom serial numbers.

As for why it stops your MAC from being hijacked, well your the only one that has the information you put in to these fields and once these fields are set in the server the only way to use your MAC is if all the information matches. Where if you select only the Send Serial without using custom option, the software will fill these fields for you using hashes based on the MAC. In this case, anyone that has your MAC would only have to enable the serial number and then they can use it where if you have a custom they would have to know the rest of fields or the access will be blocked.

You could think of it this way. The MAC is the address of your house and the Send Serial is the door of your house. If you do not have a door, anyone can walk in freely. Now if you enable the Send Serial Number but not make it custom, you have added a door but your door lock is using a default key. So anyone that has your address and has the default key can enter your house. Now if you make your SR Number custom you just rekeyed your lock and now only you have the key to get in to your house.

mombasa, I suggest you completely uninstall IPTV Stalker, checking the add-ons list to see if old versions are still there, and also delete the userdata "settings.xml". Get a new mac linked to your donation, then fill in the new mac and the 4 custom fields for the serial number, device id and signature on 9.0.21. Hundreds of people already have downloaded it, with only a few reporting problems, so I'm assuming there is something you missed.

Got it!!

Basically need a new MAC and then do the custom serial number at the same time before hitting OK. The custom serial is then sent to the server to be stored and matched against going forward. If you use an existing mac or dont do the custom serial number at the same time as a new mac then the software sends a hashed serial number based on your mac. After that one cant use custom serial.

Thank you. Appreciated.

You guys need to start your own thread if your having issues. You will never get help buy posting in a thread mixed with different issues. You would get better help this way. I will start deleting posts instead of moving them as I am tired of moving most of everyone's post when they cant be bothered to do it themselves.

As it is the same issue I'm going to go ahead and post here..

I can access the stalker client without issue..
Uninstalled and reinstalled pvrstalker with send serial and did what satjunkie suggested a couple of posts above to those 4 fields..
Left token field blank. Still receiving the 'unable to load' message.. Have tried 3 times with an updated Mac..
Help!!

So these changes, did they completely disable the STB emulators?

No, they work. You need to create a serial number, but also turn on sending the "Device ID"

is the serial number only be numbers or is combine number and letters, getting serial information not valid using 13 numbers,

--

Ans: Serial number can be alphanumeric, and the recommended length is 13 characters. Some have found using numbers only does not work. - dara

Hi Guys,

Try this one. It made life easier for me to get access again on IPTV Stalker.
It work like charm for me.
If I can do it, you can do it.

Since everybody knows how to get to the settings of IPTV Stalker by clicking "Configure"
Click on "Send Serial Number"
Do not click on the "Custom Serial"
Just click on "OK"
Close IPTV

Go back to "Kodi" main page.
Not sure if we are still require to do this next step, but I still went on to do it co'z it might help.
Highlight "Program"
Click "Maintenance tool"
Click on "General Maintenance"
Click "Clear Cache"
When done click "Ok"
Then reboot your Android Box.
Go back to Kodi
Click on IPTV Stalker.

DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS!

This thread is on how to prevent hijackers in hijacking your MAC. These instructions will send serial numbers based on your MAC so anyone that has your MAC and enables just the send serial number can still use your MAC. You have to use the custom serial number and fill in the fields as in the OP to secure your MAC and prevent hijacking of your MAC.

I am deleting posts that do not follow the suggested approach as posted by Alucard. If you found another way, feel free to post it in another thread, as they do not prevent your MAC from being hijacked.

Does the Device # and serial #'s have to be the same? Do they need to contain letters and numbers? I have changed the MAC at least 10 times and I'm still getting an authorization failed

Token, leave blank.
Serial Number: Random Alphanumeric. Min 4 characters
Device ID 1: Random Alphanumeric. Min 4 characters
Device ID 2: Random Alphanumeric. Min 4 characters
Signature: Random Alphanumeric. Min 4 characters

I am using a windows pc and kodi 15.1 Git. I made up my own serial number of 13 figures, 5 lower case letters, and 8 random numbers, is this correct? I also have custom serial checked. What do I put in these blocks - Device ID 1 & 2, and the Signature.

thanks!

Your serial sounds fine. Alucard answered your other question in the prior post.

--------
Device ID 1: Random Alphanumeric. Min 4 characters
Device ID 2: Random Alphanumeric. Min 4 characters
Signature: Random Alphanumeric. Min 4 characters
---------

Thus, something like

ID 1: 8345C
ID 2: 4903B
Sig: yuck13

@ig1151 -- Does the Device # and serial #'s have to be the same?

No, I would not make them the same. In fact, if you have ID 1 and ID 2 the same, I believe you will get an authorization error.

Here's a prototype...don't use exactly...make your own...but this is the idea...

Make sure IPTV Stalker and any PVR's are disabled. Use a fresh MAC and configure.

Serial: 1760631B40872
ID 1: 8345C
ID 2: 4903B
Sig: yuck1357

Im having issues configuring my IPTV Stalker. I verified my MAC, Serial #, Device ids' & signature multiple time, but I still getting the same error message when I try to run the IPTV Stalker Add on am getting the following is the error message "IPTV Stalker Authorization Failed". At this point IDK what I'm doing wrong.

BTW did a test enabling the Kodi Stalker Client (TVONLIVE),in there everything works well, I got all the video feed without any issues.

Well, if you are using the same mac between the TVOnline client, and IPTV Stalker, its probably not going to work. The server will retain the information sent over by the first client that connects with that MAC, so unless all that info is identical between TVOnline and IPTV Stalker, you will only connect with one, or neither of them.

Yes, I was using the same MAC, I disabled the TVonline, then I configured the IPTV Stalker with the same information. But is not working, what you I should you change my current MAC for a new one then reconfigure IPTV Stalker?

Thanks

If you want to use both IPTV Stalker and TVOnline, you do have to use different MACs... change it using the donation checker. You can retain the settings on IPTV Stalker if you wish if you switch over to TVOnline (which uses the built-in MAC). I suggest trying to use the last 6 digits for the MACs, using the 00:1A:79 prefix for the TVOnline, and 00:1A:78 for IPTV Stalker.

So once we made the

Serial:
ID 1:
ID 2:
Sig:

and submitted it.

We can't change it anymore with the Mac we are currently using ?
We have to use the same each time we use our Mac linked domation number for any device we want to use ?
Unless we use a different Mac to link to our donation number ?

Thanks

If you want to use the same MAC across devices, yes, you'd need to use the same serial, id's and sig on each device.

In terms of changing the serial, etc. associated with the MAC: You could (but I'm not sure why you'd want to), but in a round about fashion. You would change the MAC associated with the donation. This would wipe out all data associated with the old MAC. You could then change back to the old MAC, assuming no one had adopted it. You would then configure the MAC with a new serial etc.

I am unsure of the question. What Windows client? All the (Non Modified) Kodi stalkers clients are the same, does not matter what OS you are using.
