Hi Dara,

I have a questions here. I have a android box based on S805 chip which is one of the main stream good cpu, I put kodi on and running it to see nfps tv with your help. The issue is It buffers badly every day since 5pm to 10 pm on the popular channels . What I mean is that is not the problem of the box because it is one of the best and it runs good at other time frame.
It is not internet neither.

I see there is two major brand mag and avov made for this type of service, some are linux based only and some models are android based. and from the specs , the android based is not as fast as S805 chip.

My question is: if I buy one of the MAG or AVOV boxes , do I still buffers like now or it will be every smooth. I am asking is because it looks that it use a different prefix for mas address 00:1A:79 instead of my 00:1A:78 ? please let me know. I don't mind buying one if it give me good service.

My second question is : I receive a private message to a link to download and pay for a anfroid app xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx , will it make my android box smooth ? I will buy it , again, if it will solve the buffering problem.

thanks a lot.

sam

I'm smart...Think you need to stop injecting steroids into your android box if you don't want it to be Buff

if the problem isn't your box, switching to a MAG probably won't help. With whom you get a subscription will make a difference. I experimented with several providers and found a channel that might buffer on one, would play fine on another.

Try using the PVR Stalker client and then try this link to help with the buffering issues.

You say your android box cpu is very fast and well suited for streaming, but how much memory does your box have. It might not have enough buffering space. This is a multitasking situation and memory is a big requirement. Are you able to allocate more memory to the buffering. One other thing, when I have a buffering problem with my VIOX 2, I can usually solve the problem by resetting my modem, router, and the biggest culprit, magicjack.

I did use the buffer size trick. It is just changed from buffer to 100% or the number of my choice . still buffering a lot.

The key here is the PVR settings and not the network settings. In playing with these settings, anything over about 70% cause more buffering issues.
