MAC address could not be updated

Hi there. I made a donation (Papiao) for the first time today and followed the steps in trying to set it up but when i click 'change IPTV mac address' I keep getting mac address could not be updated. I've read a some threads on here and elsewhere but I didn't stumble across a solution to the error message. I've tried different browsers and also changed the last 2 numbers of my mac address but nothing works.

Has anyone had the issue and been able to resolve it by any chance? I eventually want to setup up IPTV on kodi on my Fire stick.
