By Provider do you mean the TV station, Rocket (or other), or Stalker?

Curious as I'd love this feature in fact my use of the box is reduced by maybe 70% without recording. My habit is to watch other items with my wife during evening peak hours not my MAG. On satellite I used to record news stations to watch on my own later. Mag has not enabled me to do this so far. How I would love recording to be activated.

If you run Kodi on a windows mini pc hooked up to your tv you can record and do all kinds of neat tricks,,i can't stress enough do your research before you buy a box like the mag..they even make windows 10 hdmi dongles that blow away the mag and others..why spend the cash on a box that limits what you want to do .. just my 2 cents

The converse of that is "in many countries once you start recording you may NOT cross the line." This is the same as saying that the laws of country Y are enforced on country X. Make the d*mm thing available.

the reason i bought a mag 254 is that is what i were told to use at zeta,,,,,,,,so i bought 3 if i new the android box was going to work i would of not bought the mag box but went another way, IPTV is new to a lot of people include myself so i listened to the mod ,,,

Why do you come to a forum for advice then to blame the mods for your choices. NFPS/ROCKET choose not to include recording for security reasons. The mods advice to use Mag or Avov for easy and less problematic setup to get your iptv up and running. Now you want to do more then that. Then you need to go and look for what you need. But don't blame mods for your judgement that is on you and only you.

your choices are simple. find an iptv provider that allows recording or look for an external solution (there are plenty). It's not a subject for this forum, nor is it appropriate to blame the many/most providers that don't allow recording.

Recording is always nice, but we've had a big battle about recording. Some of the users want to control what the rest of us get to do in order to protect what some of them MIGHT do. Drink your milk if you want to grow up big and strong!

Recording is the big boogyman on the board. Whooooo, lets protect some of us on the board from themselves and screw the rest of us.

Always, but the object is not to have to spend the extra cash. You can always buy a DVR on eBay that works.
