channel grouping

im not sure if it was this forum or somewhere else maybe it was my imagination but i thought someone had already asked about channel management, i tried it yesterday and it worked fine until i restarted my box, it went away. Is there a way to have it permanently on there? I know it already comes preset with some channel groups i just wanted to add a new one with just the channels i watch instead of scrolling through the long list. thanks

You did not say what you were using. If you are using PVR Stalker, you need to disable the syncing of channel groups with back end in the Live TV Settings or they will get overwritten.

sorry i forgot the main rule when posting...yeah im using PVR Stalker...thanks though i will give that a try,

sorry i just got back and started to work on this again. so i tried your suggestion and still delted my group after i restarted, i can still see the option that says "Use channel order from backend(s)" and thats enabled, does that matter? synchronise and use channel numbers from backend are disable. any other suggestions? thanks

Raymond one way to fix this temprarely is, get one of those indian and south indian groups, rename it, add the channels you like and it will dtay that way if you unsync from backend.
