Upside down custom background image

Running kodi 15.1 on fire stick. When I push a jpg image to fire stick, it shows normal. When I chose it as a custom background image it turns it upside regardless of original picture orientation.

did you open the image in other image programs besides one? I remember having a problem like this when using photos I took with my iphone.
