adding kodi to my Mag

I'm sorry guys I am new to Kodi and have been reading for days on 3 sites and I am lost...
I have my mag 254 set up for nfps, now how do I get Kodi on it do I download it and install it on a thumb drive?
if someone could give me a little help or a link to a thread on it I would appreciate it
