I use an Android box version 4.4.2... I made my donation I am still running Kodi v15.0
My problem is i get buffering and and most of the channels freeze and are unwatchable so do I
1. Need to upgrade my box
2. Upgrade to latest Kodi version
3. switch to Rocket
4. Get a better box
5. or just keep watching TV like this till donation just runs out and there will be no fix
There are some good days but mostly bad on early hours and on late hours even worst, I try to read threads and find a fix or some way to make it work better but I am down to my last questions and running out of solutions, I still pay for DTV so I dont have it that bad I can still see TV but I hated when the wife says I told you not to donate lol.

nfps = rocket = iks66. Try on PC how well it works and possibly try with an ethernet cable and not wifi. If even that does not work, then check your internet. Seems to me that the channels are streamed from Europe (at least for me in Europe I can see that IPs are located in OVH here) so maybe its an issue with the latency for you guys in US (if you are from US). You can try to solve even that issue by increasing the buffer of the video. I am not sure how to do it in Kodi, but you should google it.
Hope it helps

its impossible to increase the buffer of a live stream..or we would all do that and there wouldnt be hundreds of complaints of freezing and unwatchable channels on here..I tried to watch a preseason game nfl channel again today...waste of time...one of a ton of channels that are just useless because of freezing

What? Where did you learn that from... Of course it is possible and that's why buffer is there for, to preload data in case the connection is not stable. The only downside to that is that there will be some delay added to the video playback (and the video in general). Now as to how to do it on Kodi, I don't really know, since I am looking and it seems to be different if you're using an addon or the default kodi player. Some google searches lead me to this which might be usedful

Just an heads up regarding buffering if your on kodi go to programs and into maintenance tools . Then into system tweeks and enable zero caching
As for wifi forget it just wire your box up with Ethernet cable I had massive problems with this but have found since hard wiring its cut buffering down immensely
Cheers
