For Kodi 15, windows, other than the name of the author, and the wrong version number, the logo shows, and the epg_xmltv file does appear. I'll test android later.

i just confirmed, it is the new version.. ignore what addon.xml says. that file doesnt get updated sometimes anyways when you upgrade from a previous version, which it doesnt need to really.

Thanks psycon, installed new versions on two seperate android boxes both running android 4.4.2

First box running Kodi 15.2 which already had pvr.stalker.nfps-android-arm_20151101 installed. Initial install of new 1.01 Kodi 15 file threw up a failed to install error. Installation attempt disabled exising pvr.stalker.nfps-android-arm_20151101 & failed to re-enable (dll error). Uninstalled addon, deleted pvr.stalker.nfps from addon_data in profile directory, & cleared Kodi cache in android box settings. Then installed new 1.01 Kodi 15 file which worked straight away (well after one authorisation error). PVR Addon showing as v0.8.4 on screen but has new logo & includes changes. No MAC address change or TV Guide/Channel settings were required)

Installed a fresh copy of Kodi 16.0-Beta4 on second box & installed the 1.01 Kodi 16 file which worked straght away (I had refreshed my MAC address) after one authorisation failed error. PVR Addon showing as v1.01 on screen with new logo & includes changes.

if u deleted your pvr.stalker.nfps folder im not sure why it kept your old settings when you reinstalled.... all the settings are in that folder..... but good to know san uninstall of previous version may be nessecary

I have installed 101 on both 15.2 and 16 am able to get first part of guide to dl second part sits there for 15 sec and then I get message guide cannot load but channels do work just no guide

ok.. working on the issue with the 24 hour pull.. hope i got it.. you will have to clear your database. as well as go into kodi file manger > profile direcotry > addon_data > pvr.stalker.nfps and delete epg_xmltv.xml. then restart kodi..

Currently running Kodi 15.2 and Stalker 0.8.4 on a Minix X8H Plus.

Im have already downloaded Stalker NFPS ver. 1.01 and it shows up in my Kodi PVR Client list (new logo, but version no. still says 0.8.4)….I've left it disabled for now till I figure out the steps necessary to make it operational….a couple of questions.

Ive read the config instructions and they seem much simpler…thank you dvb ken….but I'm not totally clear about the other steps I need to take.

Do I have to create a new MAC….and what are the folders to delete from the old set-up, if any etc.

And if you'd rather not answer everyone individually, please do consider a sticky that lists the steps to upgrade when you think the time is right.

I think I got a 24hr epg working for low memory devices.seems to load ok for me.
NFPSF1 and NFPSF2 are 24hr,program descriptions have been removed,you will see the program title only.
its under 10mb so I think it should be fine.
NFPSF3 and NFPSF4 are still 72 hr and have program descriptions.

Loading the guide is still somewhat of a problem on my Fire Stick. Even with the changes, it will still come crashing down every few attempts to load it.

It was fine with the old NFPS1, English only channels. I have things fairly lean, too...Firestarter and no Amazon loading, but it's not quite enough.

24 hr is down under 5mb now-on my pc it literally loads in a flash.
72 hr has been cut in half from abt 33mb down to 16mb.

just a reminder if your using the newer stalker that cache the epg in userdata/addon_data/pvr.stalker you have to delete it(epg_xmltv.xml) or it loads the cached file.
added the new cooking channel and was scratching my head wondering why no epg was showing for it.it was loading the cache file instead of downloading the updated one.

I should add only do this if you are testing or know something has changed and want to download a updated guide and not wait xx hrs that's set in stalker config for it to automatically update.

You might have inadvertently displayed one of the groups. Tab down the EPG (on the left side) and make sure 'ALL CHANNELS' is selected.

All channels was set, BUT the Hide no information available radio button was indeed checked. I unchecked it and restarted kodi, but the channels remain hidden.

I can see the missing channels under TV->Channels but the content is empty. Syfy and TLC are empty of content and are not visible on the guide.

Should I clear or reset anything after unchecking the hide radio button?

if your using the new pvr stalker nfps 1.0.1 even this is not enough.you must goto your appdata/userdata/addon_data/pvr.stalker and delete the epg_xmltv.xml or when you restart live tv it will load this cahed file and not grab a new copy from the server.

Let me preface this by saying that I work in IT, am very comfortable around technology, and know how to RTFM.

Thanks for the assistance, but it's still not working properly for me.

I followed this guide completely, restarted the app and device numerous times, but still am missing some of the key channels from the guide, such as:
SYFY,
USA,
TLC,
TV Land,
True Drama,
TNT,
WWE Network,
UCF Network,
Cartoon Network

Et cetera, et cetera.

These missing channels appear in the channel list (not the guide) but have no info and do not load when selected.

I really am stuck. I've tried numerous fixes in half a dozen threads in the forum, but nothing has worked. For the most part I am very happy with my rocket service, but I find these missing channels particularly irksome.

Are there any other switches I can toggle or settings I can review that you can suggest?

One thing I noticed is I am using stalker client version 0.8.4 where this thread references 0.8.3 often. I'm using win7 and kodi 15.2.

I don't know, friend. I went as far as deleting the stalker client folder in appdata and rerunning the whole process again from scratch, same result: same channels are missing and the rest are on the guide just fine.

Can you recommend another guide that is current?

i am getting data for most of those channels using the 72 hour pull.. a couple are missing , but honestly sometimes some data is just missing when we do a grab, thats the way it is, the sources for the data are not 100%.. if not having EPG data for 10 channels irks you that much, get a sub from your local provider, that may be better suited for your tv viewing requirements.... alternatively, you could try the server provided epg data instead of using our url, it may be more complete as it is loaded in a different way- you need to use the version of stalker included with kodi to use the server provided epg, or go buy a MAG device.

Hey guys, how's everyone doing this fine monday morning? I just have one question, in Live TV > Guide there is an option about "update interval", default is 120 minutes... should one switch to let's say to 1440 minutes which is 24 hours or should that option stay at 120 min.?

I'm asking because I remember reading a while ago on this forum that you shouldn't be grabbing the EPG more then you should or you might get banned, is that still a case? So is 120 minutes fine or should I increase the value?

acidjesus.. you should use pvr.stalker.nfps as it caches the epg locally and only refreshes once a day.... but if you choose to use pvr.stalker built in to kodi changing that setting doesnt to much, your device will hammer the server anyways but the server will only allow you to connect once every few hours..

If you have "Don't cache in local database" unchecked, it will cache guide data locally. When the guide is invoked, it takes some time to pull data from the database for presentation in the guide. Lower RAM devices take more time to complete the process.

using the channel list is much faster than the full epg view.. what i did was make a custom keymap that loads the channel list whenever i press up or down when watching tv.... you can find my custom keymap file in the amazon fire tv section of the site, but i assume you would have to adapt it for use with the nexus.

I fixed that just for you.....j/k :)
the online epg is a work in trickery i like to call it.i created a master list in the same channel order as nfps that a script uses to rearrange the channel id's in the epg.xml to the same order otherwise the online guide would be all scrambled.
the master list has to be manually updated.
If you find any others missing,out of order or want added just let me know and it can be done.

When you copied and pasted the proper link into the xmltv remote url, did you change the donation number, MAC, and input what guide to select? (ie English day light savings time, or whatever applicable?)

Is the option set to Prefer Provider, or XMLTV only or whatever the exact option is?

My guess would be if you're able to access the channels, you made a typo. If it's correct, go into System > TV > Clear Channel Info

that should force kodi to retry to pull the EPG data again for you.

They are, but things have changed a bit. If you used to have NFPSF1 in your epg url, replace it with NFPSF3. If you used to have NFPSF2 in your epg url, replace it with NFPSF4.

just checked all the time zones and showing full screen here.

...top left corner click on preferences,then grid,1st option change the hours to display.it must be somewhere around 5 if you getting abt 1/2 width.i have it set to 9(max) for default but believe is saved as a cookie so if you or someone accidently changed it the setting will stick to whatever you set it to from default.

click on reload to apply new settings.

i assume your using the newest nfps version 1.0.1,from epg ninja site.(yes it shows 0.8.4 in stalker configuration,dvbken forgot to change it).
you will have to wait until the epg data auto updates(look in the stalker configuration for the epg cache setting,default is 24 hrs) or...
goto your userdata/addon_data/pvr.stalker nfps folder and delete the epg_cache.xml
then restart kodi,this will force the guide data to download again.

I downloaded the pvr.stalker.nfps 1.01 for Kodi 15 from Epg Ninja's website. All has been working well for about a month. However, like the person above, I noticed a few days ago the Descriptions are now gone.

I tried clearing the cache and reloading the guide, but still, no description.

I see above some people talking about changing a link but I do not see this link in the Stalker client downloaded from EPG NINJA's website.

Am I missing something?

Yes, so that seems to be the problem. The PVR Stalker Client available on the ********** website does not have the correct URLs and they can not be modified.

Psych or Blackbear, any chance you will be making this fix and uploading it? I prefer to keep things as they are without having to manually enter more info which I haven't done before.

nothing has changed that would keep the nfps versions from loading the files.we changed what the files themselves contain only.
same filenames.
so if your using the nfps version that has english and full for epg options(dont think this version is even on the server anymore) then...
english is now 24 hr no descriptions
full is now 72 hr and has descriptions

if you have the newer version that has 24hr and 72hr then its self explainatory.
24 hr is no descriptions
72 hr has descriptions

i have started before i dont use these versions and am not switching to try them.i prefer the manual entry way.they are compiled by dvbken and there's nothing we can do to fix them even if we wanted to as we dont have the source code.

One glaring issue I see here is the time zone. It should be 'America/New_york' or 'America/Toronto' for EST. Shouldn't have a space in it.

I know people recommend deleting your cache but if you have taken the time to hide channels you don't wish to see and/or made your own groups then this will (maddeningly) delete all of your hard work. If you go into the file manager and into the profile directory, addon_data/pvr.stalker/ and delete the epg_xmtlv.xml and disable live tv and then enable it again. If the guide still didn't load just delete the epg11.db from userdata/Database/ and restart Kodi and the database will be rebuilt. This is what I do so I don't have to take 20 minutes or longer to tweak the channel listings back to how I want it. After having had to do this about a dozen times, I find this method works and I don't have a fit and feel like opening a vein. :) Your reward will be the visually appealing colour-coded working epg! Just remember that you only get access to the server once every couple of hours so you may have to wait 2 hours before you realize you have been successful. But this method DOES work.

Hello, I am new to this and have Kodi 15.2 on my amazon fire tv. I have my donation with iptv66 and set up stalker client nfps and everything appears to be working. The only issue I have is the guide is off by 1 hour. The show that is on is an hour ahead of what is in the channel listing. I changed my time zone to America/Chicago and it still does not work. I did this same set up with Kodi on my android phone and the guide is perfect. Could this be because I have a skinned kodi on my amazon box and stock on my phone? I see the advanced alternative setup but there is not where to set the EPG URL in stalker client NFPS. Is this an amazon fire issue overall? Also whenever I try using the stalker client that is built into kodi, it always says unable to load channels, despite following exactly what op has

I've seen people have good luck by changing the MAC. Some wisdom suggests the time zone and MAC are linked. When the new MAC is entered, the proper time zone is established. Give it a shot.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the guide is still the same. The guide is behind by 1 hour. If I could just move the blue line up one hour it would be fine. When I tried to use iptv simple client, the entire guide was off, so this is still a little bit bette. Is there anyway we can download an xml file and modify it and have kodi use local access for the guide?

Yes I have the version with the 24 or 72 hours. I checked the country/timezone in Kodi and region is USA (12h). This issue with thr epg being one hour behind is only an issue with my 2 amazone fire tvs. I also have this set up on my galaxy s6 phone and the epg is perfect. I even uninstalled kodi on my fire tv and reinstalled because I thought that would fix the issue. Is there a way to change the xml to the cst epg from the ninja website?

It did make a change, but now instead of the guide being an hour behind what is shown, it is an hour ahead. Can you adjust it to one hour back? Thank you for much for your time and effort on this btw. I'm not sure what you mean by program descriptions...

also have you tried the non nfps pvr stalker?I tried using the build in non nfps pvr stalker client, but it always stated "unable to load channels" I used the directions on how to set up with IKS66 and I couldn't get it to work. I even tried IPTV simple client earlier today and was able to get the guide working using

when you switch from stalker nfps to the non nfps stalker you must reset your mac address(goto papiao site and change a letter/number) and save it.log back in and change it back to what it was if you want to keep the same mac.
reason is nfps stalker generates serial number,ect internally.
non nfps u have to enetr a serial,devide id's,signature so they dont match what nfps version generates so u get failed to load.

no regarding ur guide,
what i did with the test file was shift the start/stop times 1 hr back(it should of moved the entire guide 1 hr left of the timeline bar) which by you description of the original problem should have fixed your offset but didnt.

i would install the non nfps version and try NFPSF2(24hr) or NFPSF4(72hr).
do what i said above and it should load the channels...it may fail the first time u try.it should give a popup retrying and load the second time.if it dont disable/enable live tv.

Still coming up as unable to load channels. disabled/enabled live tv 20 times and changed mac again. I guess it's just going to be off an hour either way. Aside from that it isn't that big of a deal. At least the guide loads. I also tried talking the xml, cache and settings from my phone and copying it to my fire tv. Just not sure why the guide is perfect on my phone and not the fire tv.Thanks for all your help!

Stalker client nfps works perfect on my phone. I didn't try the non nfps on the phone. I was using version 0.8.4 of the non nfps too. Is there an updated version I should be using?

UPDATEI got it to work on the non nfps stalker client!!!! I changed all signature, device id's, serial and made them longer and even more random and cleared the data and restarted as you suggested. I can only assume that the random information I put in for the signature, device id's and serial was not long enough. Thank you for all your help throughout the night!!

yes, i used nfps4 and it is spot on! Only question I have is, can this be used on 2 devices or will it lead to an error because of same mac?

you can but only one can be turned on at a time.just make sure u use the same mac signature,device id's,serial.

what will happen is ex u have one box running and forget to turn it off and turn the other on using the same info it will kick the other box off( it will get failed to get stream url).
now if your using the newer pvr stalker which has a auto reconnect feature this will go back and forth and prob get ur mac eventually banned by papiao.

so safe way is make sure one is turned off before turning other on and u be ok.

i posted this info before but forget where but technically u can get the info nfps versions of pvr.stalker uses also,i have never looked at what info nfps versions send(if its serial,signature,both device id's) but if you look in your kodi.log for this line u can see the server login...highlight are info thats important.

never heard of it.googling its a stalker clone.....they steal nfps services and sell it as their own.
we dont discuss other providers here and they are fly by night at the best.
with any luck after feb 1 when username/password is inplimented they will be gone...

changing the mac and load any of the files and it will correct to your time zone.. i been testing and saying this several times..
once kodi has loaded the first file, it will lock the "timezone" after it. the country setting in the stalker client does not do anything.

it's very easy to test this for yourself.
i see the easiness of just changing the file at DST however DST shift at different dates and times in different countries every year, some even switch 2hours.
it shouldn't be a big problem unless people choose the wrong file to start with :/, or use the nfps client were you can only choose NFPSF1 or 3.
in those cases you have to change your mac to get it to sync correctly again.

Fot those that watch the india channels i found a website that had real good show details for india channels but there was no existing ini file for webgrab to use to get the data so i figured out how to create one with help from a documentation manual webgrab provides and asking on their site when i got stuck.So when the grabber runs tonight i added a few webgrabs to replace a few existing shows in the epg.
WB India and HBO India will update tonight to replace the crappy old "Movie" data they currently show most of the time.

alot of the data that kodi doesnt use get removed to keep the file size smaller like the credits section,rating,date but description,icon,category(for epg color) is kept.

i had a scan through the other channels and didnt notice any that had crappy data.if you notice any let me know and i can check the data on the new source.any channel thats dummied i cant add.i already checked for them against the list.
btw most of the dummied channels are pakistan,if you know a website that has epg for them let me know and maybe i can pull the data.I have looked before but didnt find much.
