I thought I'd ask this question while the IPTV is still in the works.
Please correct me if I have misread "the coming soon" section
I understand that there will be no PPV's - is that correct?
That there will be VoD?
I assume VoD stands for Video On Demand. So does that mean all the "New" DVD's that come out will be available on the Mag? At no extra cost? Or is that a pay as you watch thing?
I also understand that you will be able to get Neflix? Will that still require an $8.00 subscription?
Sorry for all the questions
Seriously thinking about this but, just a bit unclear to me
Thank you

I have a similiar Q. Is there any reason special event PPV would not be available vs any other movie?

With rocket, you get access to all services offered, no pay as you go.
So when VOD is offered it is included.
As for the netflix, I don't know where you got that from.
Guess you could say it's like netflix by offering movies in the VOD section?
Server is open right now while it's in beta testing, so why not try it out.
You'll need to read around to see if you hve a way to get it working.
Dedicated stbs, android devices, and pc emulators have been tested to work with the open server.
It's only open for VOD but will let you play around. No live tv yet.

Thanks. My intention is to take this stream (specific channel) and re transmit it to my home network. I have a server I was planning on hooking a mag 254 into on the output stream (because I thought this was a requirement), but it sounds like it might make sense to just do this via software on the server itself.. sounds like it would be easier to get access to the raw h.264 stream.
