MAG 254 4 pin Jack Composite Video output Stereo output jack

I am trying to use the jack to hook up my DVD recorder to the MAG 254, my recorder will not recognized the video output from the MAG. Also will the MAG output from both the Composite Video jack and the HDMI at the same time?

I believe you can use one out at a time.

For the rca plugs to work... You have to reduce your resolution to SD, otherwise the box will tell you on screen to either reduce res, or use hdmi.

So, even if you could use both at once.... You probably don't want to. :)

Not to intrude on this post but how do you reduce the resolution to SD? My DVD recorder does not have a HDMI input, I would like to record some movies.

Use the composite cables that came with the Mag and it should work!!
If not go into settings and change the video settings to Nt something 480
