Just Donated...

I went out today and purchased a Visa Debit Prepaid card from a local store.

At the end of donation process, I was given this information after the transaction:

Order ID: blahblahblah
Payment Amount: US$ 80
Payment Result: Invalid Transaction
The Donation information delivery process may take from 24 to 48h but you can also track your order HERE


What does this mean? It clearly says "Invalid Transaction", but then it says it could take 24-48hrs to deliver donation information.
Anyone have any information on this or can assist?

check the card to see how much money is left to see if it went through

Still shows I have the initial $100 available. Any "hold" transactions that happen? Or does the "Invalid Transaction" immediately mean failed?

i would think it means fail if the funds are still there.. make sure the card is approved for international purchases and try again

I think that's the problem. This card says "Valid only in the United States"....great. Anyway around this or another method of getting a donation without a blood sample?

pre paid can be hit and miss... you can try to find one that works but its easier to use your visa

It's unfortunate they don't accept Bitcoin. I'll have to look into this. This is a difficult process, at least those in the US wanting to have a clean name.

No. I ended up using a credit card I had that had to get access. Went thru without issue and got immediate email with MAC verification link. Working great!
