DVB-S2 or ATSC Tuner what does that mean?

was looking at the vixo 2 to be my first iptv box and finally transition away from my sd8000hd but wondering what those items above mean...want to make sure before I take the plunge.

This is not necessary if your TV was manufactured after 2005, because it has them built in. Just a publicity stunt to attract attention
