I had my mag254 hooked up to a tv that was older (480p) with rca cables. I moved it to a different tv for 1080 or 720 and used an hdmi cable. I now cant seem to get any sound. Is there some setting I have to change as I went from rca cable to hdmi? I did have to change the video from 480 to 1080 cuz the pic was fuzzy.
Tried changing cables and even went hdmi directly from mag to tv.....Had it hooked up through home theatre.
Is there anything I can try?
Thanks

Make sure your output is set to out mode = Stereo ,SPDIF mode = Bitstream
Inner portal settings Initial Volume = 100 , Audio output mode = Stereo , F1 more settings , Dynamic range compression = Disabled , Operating Mode = Line Mode , Spdif Mode = Bitstream ,HDMI mode = PCM , Exit and reboot device

i have mine set to; volume 50%(so it doesn't blow ur speakers when u switch!),, stereo,, pcm(no difference between pcm & bitstream..),, pcm.. works great...:)

I hadnt changed the dynamic range compression to 'disables' when I finally found where to hit F1. When I would change to HDMI and save, it would set back to DVI un-noticed. When I changed the compression to 'disable' and saved, it stayed at HDMI and got the volume working.
Thanks for the help.
If anyone else had this prob, make sure the compression is disabled before changing to HDMI.
