Mag 254 resetting itself?

I have a mag 254 and when I have the unit turned off for any period of time, the weather portion that I set to my location goes back to Belize. (Was originally there) The time on the unit stays good but I have to reset the weather portion back to my area.
Not a huge deal but wondered if there was something I could do to make it stay at my location.
