New to all this.

Hi all. I bought a MAG 254 from a local guy here and it was up and running perfectly. He set it up and everything for me and told me that donations were about to go into effect last wednesday july 15.

Now i'm stuck at "Your STB is blocked. Call the provider". I called the vendor and he said he was working on it, but I thought i'd come here and try and figure this out myself, learn some stuff.

I keep reading about adding my MAC address somewhere, but I can't figure out what everyone is talking about. Also, where or how do I do the donation?

He set me up on 1.iptvprivateserver.tv and i've found out here that it changed to 11.iptvprivateserver.tv but that didn't do anything.

I'm just here trying to learn the ropes of how all this is working and maybe I can just bypass the vendor and do everything myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I set mine up yesterday it took a while for the donation to go thru just for your info... it doesnt happen immediately. Your mac address can be found on a sticker on the the iptv set top box instruction manual ( the little piece of paper that came with your box)

thanks all for your help. there is 1 question i have though. whats the difference between NFPS and ROCKET? the price is the same. just wondering.

I'll most likely go with ROCKET since it seems this site is about ROCKET and you guys have been helpful, i was just wondering the difference.

I you read the comments for each section - seems less problems for Rocket than NFPS.
