Kodi update with TVaddons (TVMC)

We love to make things easier around here. As we got a numerous amount of issue with people having trouble setting up/confuguring Kodi, we decided to just make it easier for you now. Here are some of the updates we have done with:

Kodi on our platform:
Updated to the latest Kodi version (Isengard RC 2).
TVMC fully supported through Kodi installation on MickyHop (Now when you install Kodi for the first time, it will automatically install and update TVMC for you). Install Kodi -> then run Kodi -> then TVMC auto configures with all the latest Kodi apps and features from TVaddons.ag.
Although this feature eliminates you able to configuring your Kodi client right off the bat by your self, we will be adding another version of Kodi where you will be able to do keep a naked version of Kodi without any configurations to customize/configure for your self.

yes, although this is great of avov to do for new kodi user, it isn't something the experienced kodi user would want.

I can see why avov and MickyHop did this. They prolly getting alot of mail and/or help tickets asking how to get Kodi working or why doesn't Kodi work type mail/messages.
This TVMC automatically installs recent apps and etc from tvaddons.ag
By doing this, MickyHop has helped many new users and stopped the onslaught of mail, I'll bet.
Now this can and will include some good content (loaded automatically) but it also includes alot of stuff you may not want (some crap, loaded automatically) :eek:

MickyHop team should have read justandroid help guide, which he got it from tvaddons in first place :)

Start Kodi and look on the first splash screen that appears. That will be the correct version onboard your vixo2
That first splash screen comes and goes quickly so watch carefully

that is what Kodi shows in the Channel Store, yup.
It might not be correct thou.
We'll need to hear from someone what that splash screen says after loaded the new Kodi app

most mfg's. always stay with the latest stable version or release of Kodi, this is just common sense. Not sure, but I see no reason a newer beta or RC couldn't be side loaded, correct me if I'm wrong..

I did see another way to check thou.
In System then in System Info.... look near bottom of that screen menu at the blue letters/description.
Mine says --> Kodi 15.0-BETA1

in Channel Store I see it as 14.2 , I never installed it as I still have the 15.0 onboard, but that's what does show in Channel Store (14.2)

I wasn't gonna test it cause I have a nice loaded Kodi now, I didn't wanna dive in :)

actually nothing new, Fusion is preinstalled though. Can't even get PVR stalker installed, I actually like that one

think of it this way...
avov/Mickyhop works as a two party system. Them and you.
You access avov thru a desktop type thing. The avov/Mickyhop does the rest and is why such good and fast loading and etc...

You can't load apk files cause you'd need to get by that fictious 'desktop' thing.

If you can follow all that 'fictious' mumble jumble :)

setting
add-on
install from respository or get add on
look for mk
click on it to video addons
then iptv stalker
install it
done

Did that, uninstalled kodi, rebooted avov2,,,,,, redid MK still so IPTV stalker, nor PVR stalker. I did notice that the MK only has 1.5.1 available ??????
Will keep trying for a bit or just wait for the proper fix, They shouldn't have removed the 15.0 RC1 though

Strange but I was not able to uninstall Kodi 15 beta 1 although I was able to install the updated (or should I say the downgraded Kodi 14.2 with TVaddons). Now I have two different Kodi apps installed. Both seem to work fine though. Not sure why I couldn't uninstall the Kodi 15 Beta 1 though I am glad I couldn't. Decided to uninstall the Kodi 14.2 as it was a step backwards. Was hoping for Kodi 15 RC2

Was anyone else unable to uninstall the previous Kodi 15 Beta 1 and ended up having 2 different Kodi versions installed instead?

Mickyhop is releasing the "naked" Kodi version tonight. So anybody having issues with this one should be fine by tomorrow morning.

How did I miss this post I'm going to have to try this out tonight I was a little surprised to see 15 Beta 1 when I originally got the AVOV nice to see they are deploying a stable build 14.2.

It is true 15 is nice but they should always have the stable version available that's all I am saying. It will be nice to use totalxbmc again also.

i dont use any of that stuff but been doing it for some time now really all you need is maybe around 20 apps i make ones for friend with like 10 apps i was on kick oh 3000 apps let get wow was i wrong

I installed Kodi on this box from the market and have installed the setup. Now I have installed the Giddyup addon and tried to rub the 24/7 and its blank, I know it works cause its fine on my Minix.

Ok never mind, its working. I had to wait for it to update to the newer version but kodi is working nicely.

Best place to go for other addons is Kodi website or addonstv site for 3rd party addons..........Kodi section on this forum will show you how to setup iptv with kodi

Thank you, I have done those things but still only get a couple iptv channels. I have rocket and no channels from it.

In order to use Rocket in KODI, you need to install stalker and use the mac address that is in kodi. Use this for first part: 00:1A:78: and the last three parts of KODIs mac address. You can find it in systems - information. When you get this mac "created" then you use it to register in rocket. If you do some reading you will find a lot of information on this subject. Now, since you have an AVOV vixo2, I would just register the vixo2 mac address and forgo using stalker in KODI.

Thank youmvery much. how do you register the mac address , i have it etnered inthe vixo 2. still no live streamong ot ilive channels not to mention searval others that I used to get when things were free.
