I have tried several times to get this mag 254 going after the power surge. This is on my daughters mag. Originally, I used the wrong serial # when I joined it to my r----t donation Since I discovered that error which was about a couple of weeks ago, I changed it to the proper serial # and when I checked last it had the correct number listed. So, how do I fix this problem (authentication required)?
edit: Is there someway I can pm a mod with my mad address and user/password to check with the higher ups.

Now I am stumped. Whatever number that sstarts with 00 on the mag I entered along with my donation number. So how do I get this authentication required thing corrected on the mag. I have rebooted every thing for her and once the yellow on the blue bar starts authentication required appears and when the yellow gets about a third in it stops.
Edit: It is call mag address.

each box requires a donation and mac linked to it...you mentioned your donation in post. Does she also have a donation??

I must have mag on the brain. Yes she has her own donation, It was working last night and both of ours wasn't working this am due to the power surge. Got mine going with the reboot you suggested modem-router-box but hers keeps coming up the authentication thing.

As I recall, she had to use google dns to connect before. Make sure it's still set that way and reboot all again. There is server work going on this morn.

I changed the dns to 8.8.8.8. rebooted and still the same "authentication required" What to do now.

I am using the same url on hers as I am on mine which is 1.iptvrocket.tv. By "redo it" do you mean to factory default? I have done that 3 times already

Yes I updated to r11 and I also tried 11.iptvrocket.tv. I will have to try the 1.iptvprivateserver.tv tomorrow. Thanks

Here I am again. I have defaulted twice, software updated did step by step set up again reboot device and when it should go to main menu the blue bar comes up and when the yellow starts I get authentication required. I checked my mag and used the exact same things on my daughter set and I still get that message on hers. Mine is working fine. What can I do. Everything was fine until we had a power surge.

Can't send it back, have had at least 3 months. The mad address is listed as correct on the log in site.

infomir.us. I had originally purchased 2 before this one and had to send one back. He gave me a hard time had to go thru paypal to get my money back.
Edit: Could someone give me a url for rocket email to ask about the authentication problem? I have contacted infomir by email and they told me it was a provider problem.

Have you tried to do a factory default the box?If not you need to go into the bios setup.

Yes, yes and yes. (3 times) In the bios menu, I first default save and ok. then reboots I go back in bios choose the boot to nand 2, save and ok it reboots to inner portal, I go thru all the setup steps then reboot devise and when the yellow starts in the blue bar the authentication required comes up the yellow only goes to about 1/4 in and it just sits there doesn't do anything

Do you mean in the server line? No I don't. It worked with just the 1.iptvrocket.tv Tried it with 11 and 1.iptvprivateserver.tv I bought this box in March so it is 4months and counting

i configured as 66.iptv66.tv on the mag.
but it is saying your stb is locked.

I have emailed infomir.us and papao.tv. Infomir said it wasn't their problem to check with myprovider. So far have not heard from rocket. BTW just when I was able to try your advice they were down and I am now getting the blocked message like everyone else. I used 11.iptvrocket.tv. I am waiting for things to settle down. At least it didn't say Authentication problem.

I have left it unplugged overnight before and always have to unplug to get our of authentication screen and I do wait 2 to 3 min

I know you guys are getting tired of my problem but I have tried everything. I have defaulted 2 more times today and still have the authentication problem.The only thing I change in the bios after default is tv--1080p60---resolution-720-576 and boot is nand. I have tried nand2 also and get the same message. I have been using the wrong email for support at iptv rocket so I will use the correct one and see if they have a solution.
I still have not heard from iptvrocket. My mag254 just showed me the same message as my daughters re authentication problem. rebooted my 2 times and that did the trick for me. Doesn't help my daughters tho. BTW when loading my daughters mag it does not say loading from nand. It just says loading. Could that be my problem and how do I correct it.

when you used def. settings in the BIOS menu, that is what caused you to lose the Infomir splash screen. It's just eye candy and of no importance at all, thks..

Can you tell me why my daughters mag is not loading from nand, just plain loading. My mag says loading from nand, I am still getting authentication problem

more than likely cause it wasn't properly chosen or saved..but since I am not actually physically present I can only surmise..

So there is no help for my situation? In the bios menu there are two places where it tells you choose, one says yes and then another telling you to choose no. This is correct right? I chose what the screen said to choose. Where in the bios does it tell you load from nand? And if I change anything in the bio and key save and ok it will be fine? I do not have to default to change them?

Go back to bios set it up back choose nand2 save and exit then reboot you will see a black screen that will say loading then while that is loading you will need to press on the SET button on your mag remote there you will see the inner portal.

When it says loading hit the set button on your remote will take you to the inner portal and check your url if it is correct.
I have done that already. The url is correct and reboot several times In one of my previous posts I mentioned I had done that and rebooted several times and it still comes back to authentication problem

Logo is not a issue it can boot with out it that is a quick fix his main issue is connection problem.

I don't understand what you mean. I have checked the mac address at papiao site with my donation user/password and it is correct

I think I may have solved the problem. I took a magnifying glass to daughters house and found one of figures wrong. I will redo in about an hour and get back to you if I have success. Thanx

I have already tried that. Doesn't change anything. I have to go next door every time I make a change you suggest.It will boot to inner portal I am sure because it does that after I default which I have done several times. What will I do after it goes to inner, reenter portal and save?

And we have a winner. I works direct from modem. Maybe I need a new ethernet cable going to the box a router? Because, remember it was working fine up until July 2. That router also supplies the iks stb. She says it has been freezes a lot. Thank you, thank you thank you. Now info to fix router issue?

Here are the 2 options I recommend: option# 1You need to perform a factory reset on the router like when you bought it brand new see if the mag box connects agian. option#2 the power serge may effected the router which is not functioning any longer the way It soppose to so you may want to buy a new one if you can.

What you have is a routing issue, option#1 will fix it but cant guarantee it will work since it went through a serge. Will not hurt to try though. I also recommend if you have power serge`s often by a power serge.

Hey BK, I am finally working on daughters box. My problem was when I entered the mad address I entered an 8 for a B. I rechecked after the last time I talked to you and it was back to the 8 again. So I changed it again and backed out completely and back in and it stayed the same . Checked again last night and the mac was still correctly listed. This am checked again and it was correctly listed, so tried the box again. Plugged it in it did its thing and presto we have a winner. Thanks
