View Full Version : Having Problems With Date Showing Up Correctly

Hi I have 2 MAG 254 in the living room it is showing the date of Friday December 31, 1999 7:13pm. Now the box in my bedroom has the correct date and time on it and I went through all the settings on both boxes and they are the same can anyone please advise what I need to do.

After you put in the correct information in and save reboot the mag and it should give you the correct time.

Your NTP settings are not the same. Under "Settings" on the portal, go the "Servers" and verify you have the same settings.

OK a little confused plz bare with from the screen that shows the blue with TV go to settings there or press the setting button under the F4 blue button?

I checked both in the setting using the settings button under the F4 (blue) button made sure it was for the central time zone America/Chicago and rebooted. Then went into the setting were portal settings and went in to localization it is set for: English, USA, Houston, America/Chicago and I rebooted. But it is still show the date of Friday, December 31, 1999 and a time of 6:39pm now

OK I just noticed something that was different if I go into the inner portal. Up in the left hand corner it would normally show the time and date. The one showing the wrong date is blank, but the one that is showing the right date and time has the date and time on the inner loyal in the top left hand corner

Just in case if you have the same problem as me then try this.
After doing some reading I found that if you change the server from pool.ntp.org to time.nist.gov and reboot the box and it will show the correct date and time to your setting.
Worked for me.

Worked for me.both work for me but only on nfps the guide is all good but you have to look at a hour ahead and that's what is really on at that time. That is on there end

I just want to thank everyone I found out that I didn't have it with pool.ntp.org. I changed and it works great! Sorry I'm just getting back to respond but my TV just back from shop so I was just now able to play with settings. Again thank you so much!
