Mag 254 problems

Like others I am having problems with my Mag254. Received a screen notice, STB damaged call provider. Did some reading about this but no luck. I noticed that when redoing information, while going to Portals, both Portal 1 and Portal 2 had URL next to them. I could not get just the Portal 1 without URL next to it???

Well, if the # 1 portal has a URL, you should put your information there.

In reference to your reply....yes, I realize that each portal has two lines....the problem that I am having is the each line has a URL. I thought that just the URL was on the second line of each portal and not on both lines of each portal as I am getting?

Url is where you type the iptv url given here thats all you need to do also link mac adress dont forget,Note to no get confused use portal #1

I have two Mag 254 units. Other one works fine. Both have Mac#'s associated with todays current operations. This problem started about five days ago when the screen froze. Stayed frozen for awhile and I shut unit off. When I go to servers...General...NTP server OK...exit, next I go to Portals....Portal 1 only the URL space comes up and not the first space for the name. Next is Portal 2 URL. There should be a space in the first Portal that just has a blank for the name. As far as the firmware, I am using what came with this unit. Unit is only a few months old.

I believe all you need is the url, the name is not need it.

some of my kid he play with the graphics he chenag 720/480 ntsc to i dont know what the box want work any more is just black any help

boot up into BIOS menu and set correct video values for your tv...

The factory R3 firmware only has 2 spaces to enter Portal 1 and Portal 2 URL's. There are no spaces to enter the Portal names.
Firmware versions above R3 have a space to enter the Portal names.

You don't need to enter the portal name just the url

Hello, I do not see what this intractable problem.
Simply return the box in the Factory settings then download the latest software and follow the step by step instructions glued at the beginning of the section . This will ensure the removal of the wrong settings you have entered and will allow you to enjoy viewing TV .

OK, I have gone to original factory settings. Placed all necessary info in spaces provided and checked and rechecked several times. Everything seems correct. Went to load and yellow (loading line) started and went to about i/2" before the end of the bar and ten refused to complete the load. I tried this several times after rechecking my input info. No luck, it still did not finish the loading (yellow line) refused to go to the end.....????

Restart the modem and STB and you will be part of the game
