I have 2 mag 250`s i have tried several portal`s work great no power issues with them using the remote control the 1.privateserver portal is giving me issues powering on/off my box.I have tried several tv`s and hdmi cables as well.

That has nothing to do with the portal. What exactly is it doing. I have 2 MAG250's

Booting up to main menu rather than last channel viewed worked for me...

It has to do with the portal. the inner portal works great and other portals work great i have tested several hdmi cables and tv same results.

The portal is just a link to the server, how is it that its shutting down your receiver?

When i turn my box off it dosent power back on,when i used a different portal doesnt do that at all.

That has nothing to do with portal, that looks like to me to be the video settings. Have you tried this:

Use the RCA cable that it came with, then set your tv to that RCA setting then once you plug in your Box hit the menu button right away and set the Video to NTSC toi 1080i then scroll down to save settings or something like that then with the right arrow button it will give you the option to save it and from there it will reboot and you can now go into the HDMI settings as it should boot up normally

I have tried everything its a portal issue trust me i have 3 url portals this is the only one that is doing it to my box loses response.

They may have to look into how they programmed this portal maybe its corrupted.

Nothing wrong with it, working fine here and with others as well. You are the only one with this issue as I see it.

How are you entering the portal, are you using http:// or without the http://

I have no issue watching vod with this portal just my boxes wont respond to my remote via on/off other url portals do .

If i enter a new portal with other providers name my boxes works perfect with the remotes powers down and powers up with no problem.

Looks like they updated the portal it fixed my issue thanks guys.

seems fine. when it first loads tonight ,it goes to channel 455 soon. hit back button to get back to the main screen. noticing a few changes from yesterday, none negative. this remote does have many hidden features.

This is what worked for me " when you are in VOD screen go to settings scroll down to portals click ok, you will see open after loading [Last TV Channel] change it to main menu then click OK.
then save" This was posted by someone else but I can not remember the name to give credit to.

Yes, I am having the same issue. I will try what was stated in the above posts and see if that works.

When I close the MAG using the remote then I try to open the MAG using the remote, it doesn't work. So I need to hard boot it by removing the power supply connection and reconnecting it. That is how I get in currently.

Again, I will try what was suggested above.
