Guys just got my meg245 and it will not turn on to give me the menu
there is a blue light in it and looks ok can I load it from my pc I unplugged
and 3 times trying to get it to show menu no luck need help.

this receiver I can not bring a menu up to set it to anything and I don't
know what to do it has a blue light and seems to work but no pik
I don't know anything about bios menu and if that will fix it.

no pic at all ? Was there ever any kinda pic on the TV screen?
Is the Video cable connected correctly ? (the AV cable or HDMI cable, which ever one is being used)

unplug the power and plug back in while you hold the button with the 3 lines and dots on the remote

Guys I tried the unplug and hold down the button with the dots and three line and pluged it in
got nothing I did have a menu when I first plugged it in and then it disappeared and went to nothing.

There is possibly something wrong with this portal as my 2 boxes have the same symptoms but works perfect on other provider portals.

Try this:

Use the RCA cable that it came with, then set your tv to that RCA setting then once you plug in your Box hit the menu button right away and set the Video to NTSC to 1080i then scroll down to save settings or something like that then with the right arrow button it will give you the option to save it and from there it will reboot and you can now go into the HDMI settings as it should boot up normally

I tried what you said to do IPTV but no luck no menu at all the box looks like it works
it blinks when I hit the remote but no menu,

Same problem: I just unplug power and plug power back in to turn on and off without touching remote at all. Once it's booting after splash screen, menu and home buttons work, but have to cycle power every time to turn on or off.
