looking to buy mag 254

From everything i have read on here it looks like the mag 254 is the better buy. My only question is there are a few on ebay but the packaging box are different colors. One box is blue and another is black and red. Some of the remotes are different also. One remote has the colored buttons on the top and the other has the colored buttons closer to the middle.

I didn't want to buy a clone so does anyone know what the difference is. If you have any input on this please let me know. Even if you recommend a different box.

there are many variations of the mag. Some may be and are clones. Some were marketed even before the Mag.
Be careful not to purchase one that is inclusive with a iptv server ready to go, low the low price of such and such dollars. That IPTV service may work for awhile but will soon go dead (most instances anyway), or the price will be extraordinarily high.
Stay away from them sales.

The box my Mag 254 came in is mainly black with shades of brownish orange color (maybe could be seen as red). Mag receiver is pictured on front and back, with the front being pictured beside a working TV screen.

listen to what says crazed 2.0 . Working with MAG boxes for many years I have seen 5 different fake models. This is why many of you can not see Inform APP store because there is authentication of origin.

thanks asft. with the avov2 do you have to run a stb emulator on it, or does it already come installed and you have to just plug in the values like the portal address and mac. I just bought my friend a mag254 before seeing your responce. I think i might go with the avov2 as from all the post i have read from you....you seem to know what you are talking about

avov vixo 2 is the box to get read up on it you will be surprise what it can do it my man cave box and saving money to get one more but this is mag thread which is a great box too cant do wrong on mag254
