Hope I didn't put this in the wrong part of the site, but I noticed the other day that everytime I start up Kodi, the TV section loads up fine. I see all the channels, but at the same time at the upper right of the screen "Importing EPG from Clients" is taking forever to load, whereas before it would load up under 2 minutes.
I'm speculating that the PVR Stalker may not be working properly with the NFPS servers at this time, maybe due to the introduction of a more complete EPG. I'm not positive about this, as I can't can't get PVR Stalker working at all using 0.8 on Kodi 15.0 beta 2, or 0.6b on Kodi 14.2 on my PC, but it was working a couple of days ago when there was no EPG data coming from the NFPS server.

For now I'm using 14.2 Helix. Haven't had any problems and i'm using Private Stalker client and PVR client, but the initial reason for my post, it is loading slow. My channels work, but very delayed time with loading EPG. Glad it doesn't get in the way when watching full screen or streaming a movie.

As of this morning both of my fire tv sticks running kodi 15.2 are crashing during pvr stalker client "importing guide from clients". Worked fine before and both identical settings. Anyone else have this?
Update: I removed the XMLTV link to is.gd/NFPSF and set guide to "Prefer Provider" exited kodi, cleared the cache restarted and works fine and I still get the epg info.

am I the only one that does not have to set timeout to 60 secs anymore, the "standard" max 15 is enough here now.
discovered it by mistake, and yeah I deleted the cache several times with clear data and double checked the timeout to be sure.
I know I depends on several things and 15 was not enough when I tried it the first times, but its been fine for a few days now.

I have used the standard 15 timeout since the latest version 0.8.3 stalker was released and works fine.

I had occasional crash's´when playing around with epg, after deleting cache and when starting kodi up again, all I needed to do was restart kodi and it was fine again. as said I seen it a few times always after clearing data, exiting and then a crash when kodi starts up again and loading data. like I said starting kodi again made it take off where it left. otherwise clear data again to be sure.
I never had a crash again when just starting kodi after epg was setup.
this happens on my firetv.

If your hiding channels make sure you disable the EPG data for that channel too. That way the EPG data will not load for these channels speeding it up. On a side note, I was playing with the guide data yesterday as I am working on a utility app and found that the xmltv file had formatting issues and that may be why it is not loading. iVue would not load the guide data so I was checking it to it and found the formatting issues and is probably why the guide may not be updating all the time.

I only have about 200 channels showing and I hide the rest but I do disable the epg for them aswell. Since I removed the XMLTV link to is.gd/NFPSF and chose use provider it works fine.
The xmltv team is working on the linked xmltv for the is.gd ... its now on a different server, so expect issues in the next week or so. Sorry.
