In stb emulator, you will actually need to connect a mouse to the firetv to acces the setting menu that will be on the top right corner edge, then u go into profile, test, and u fill it out , dont forget to enter a mac address, they recommand changing the last 6 characteres,

Thanks! My mistake was making a new profile...wasnt working. As soon as I modified the test one it worked first try. It works great too :) I'm not
on fire tv either ... another android box. So I assume it will run on any android platform?

Well, after testing... i realized its not working well on firetv, and there is no way to select mx player as an external player in the stb emulator,its using the vlc plugin and its not working well, i get the same results on bluestacks and vlc combo, but when i switch to mx player on bluestacks it works like a charm. on other android device there should be that secret option on the top righ corner, but on the firetv you can only select the portal. hence you have no choice but to use vlc.

i also found the google playstore link, but i don't get the option to download it to my android device.

it's a control issue with the playstore.

Well the way for the iptv to work is to install the emulator. so if you can install the emulator then it will work.

Finally got around to installing the STB emulator on my Fire TV and all I have to say is, HELLO IPTV!!!:D Also managed to side load XBMC. This thing is sweet! BIG Thanks to everyone that helped me.

Amazon Fire TV box, USB keyboard with touch pad mouse. Got everything installed getting the portal and channels/movies loading however black screen when I try to play. I have MX player installed but not sure where to change the defaults. So close just need a little help. When I go to settings in the portal it gives me a Error emulator core initialization failed.

Settings does not work- you need to run the mouse up to the top of the screen to get to settings there. Long pause on a touchpad and maybe a double-click too will bring it up.

I was trying last night to bring up the settings from the top pop up menu and could not even tried a mouse. At work right now but will be trying again. If I understand correctly I still need to go into the settings and select the default player MX?

To setup mx for my devices, it's the menu button on the remote that brings that up. Will have exit there too

i have my NYKO PRO paired! trying to add google store with chrome,downloaded 6 files.explorer under tools gives me error,failed, root explorer: this feature cannot run on devise,(explorer is off in blue box,cannot find place to turn on)!any help would be appreciated,thanks.

My dog chewed my remote which is why i'm using the keyboard and mouse. Nikon pro is a controller with a menu and back button I think.

Got it!!!. I had to use the FireTV app. Then pressing menu brought up a media player menu in the lower right corner. I selected external player, restarted. Then when I went to play a stream it gave me the option to pick my media player. I picked MX and then always.

What I was doing wrong before was going to the top pop up menu as I did not have a menu button using the usb keyboard and mouse.

Pretty happy with the FireTV box thats for sure.

Are you rooted first off. If your not then you won't be able to install the play store. Also why do you want the play store? Takes up room and resources.

Okay I have to recant my previous statement. VOD is working but live tv channels are not. Im comparing to a cheap rca tablet and a windows laptop running bluestacks. I have working live tv channels on both. I cannot get any live tv channels on Amazon Fire TV box. I have mirrored my setups and cannot figure out where i'm going wrong. Starting to think the fire tv cannot handle live tv.

- tried, internal, vlc plug in, MX Player and xmtv player.
- Tried two different versions of STB-Emu using 0.5.21 now.
- tried different mac and ip addys just in case.
- VOD works, trying channels that I know work watching on tablet do not work on FireTv Box.

Not sure what to check next. Is Live tv channels working for anyone on their fire tv?

This is probably a very stupid question.

I have everything working properly on my fire tv. All the live channels that are currently being tested, plus the VOD movies, work great.

My question is, when in the list for the tv channels, how do i turn off the feature where it automatically opens up the video player as soon as i highlight the channel? i would like to be able to scroll through the channels and then select the one i want to watch. right now, i have to scroll really quickly, otherwise the player starts playing the channel immediately.

Ok, I figured it out. Hopefully this helps someone else.

You need to download the newest STB emulator from here:

Then under profiles, go to stalker settings and put a check mark beside having to press OK to show preview.

Is actually a newer one out but cannot download it in N. America, still waiting for a link from somewhere other than play store to get it..

I tried this as well dgr81, but STB crashes after attempting to change or cancel a channel change. Is anyone else having STB crashes when attempting to move from channel-to-channel? I've only been testing for a few hours but notice that STB doesn't like speedy moves or commands.

I loaded STB 0.5.22 and it's a little better - not as many crashes. I'll continue to read and adjust settings until I get it right. Not sure if I can post the file.

Did you check "play in preview only by OK" under profiles>stalker settings?

i noticed that the app would crash if the back button was hit while MX Player is trying to bring up the channel. Let it process and then move to the next channel. I know it's aggravating, but we'll have to deal with it until we figure things out.

After being told to submit mac address I was able to get 'live' via rocket, using fire stick and stb emu. However none of the 'videoclub' feeds are working. I see all the available but they all come up as Server Unavailable. Was there another setting I was supposed to input or use a different 'player' and if so please help. Thanks.

Install mx pro and for vod try external player. If you have a new version of stb pro 1.2.1.0 it has vlc in the build.
