The server for VoD testing is ready!

Please follow the instructions below to connect to the server:

1- From the embedded portal go to Settings -> System Settings -> Servers -> Portals.
2- In Portal URL 1 press the KB (Keyboard) key of your remote control.
3- Enter the URL:

4- Press the KB key again to hide the keyboard.
5- Press the OK key to save settings.
6- Press the Home key until you get back to System Settings.
7- Select Reboot device.

The box will restart and if it is the only portal configured then

Mag 254 working perfectly with trial. One exception to set-up instructions. "7- Select Reboot device." Would not reboot when ok was pushed. Unplugged power cord briefly (hard reboot) and the rest went as outlined in the instructions. HD is 1080P. Thank you!

Some have had luck removing the app and then re installing it.
My avov doesn't connect to any server I've tried though.
Mag worked flawless but avov not so much.

you can try on avov go to channel store go app tv online load app hit run load the info and see if you get green arrow if you do your good to go only on vod try it this way and see if it works

Avov set-up

-Install TV Online APP from Channel Store.
-After install complete and in that same screen, click on the RUN option.
-Next screen, highlight a Server slot and click it.
-Enter URL exactly as shown below...

1.iptvprivateserver.tv/
-Use the NEXT key to exit the keypad.
-Skip down to the Connect option and click on it
-The screen will change and you'll see the Server highlighted and in that same highlighted box, off to the right side, you'll see a circle. That circle will be green when connected.
-Once green and if you then get a popup message that says something about a http header update, do not accept that, cancel it.
-You should be good to go now. Open the VOD menu :)

*You can also skip the RUN option and leave the Channel Store and go into your APPS and open that TV Online APP and do the connecting from there (same procedure).
*red button -*please refer to post #51

Working good, testing on amazon fire tv and service is running well, i wouldnt say its hd but the reason for that might be the emulator and not the service i will compare side by side with the mag254 when ill get it

yea, last night and this morning I had my avov connected and working fine thru rocket's iptv server. I tested it a few times by uninstalling an reinstalling and it connected great everytime, while some other staff could not get connected even once,, but their MAGs connected. BUT early in the afternoon I tested the connection again by first assuring it was still working and it was. So I uninstalled the App and re-installed and bammmm !! No more connection :(
ABout an hour later the Rocket iptv was turned off at server end.
Still doesn't connect on this nfps server thou, while my MAG does.

Something between the way the avov uses the avov server and then goes to the nfps server maybe, I don't know thou. Them powers that be prolly are already addressing this. I do see that they are doing lots of work tonight. Rocket prolly was turned off to test nfps pupliclly first, but again I don't know.

Those instructions are correct thou, that's exactly how I connected successfully a dozen or so times last night and this morning :)

I don't think the red button does anything as long as you use the CONNECT option in the URL menu.

Okay it works again for me.
I had it stuck on trying to connect for awhile, no green light... then I switch to an empty slot just for the hell of it and then another empty slot and as I was playing around I saw Slot #1 go green.
i had already tried switching the sever URL to Slot 2 as asft did, but that didn't work. Leave SERVER 1 trying to connect and switch the slots to an empty one and again and again, see what happens.

Oh and this time I never got the message about the http header update thing.
So maybe if you still can't get connected then try with the http thing included in the URL, then retry without the http thing and enter URL the correct way,, see what happens (just to confuss things and maybe bump it in the rear).

Went to settings clicked on server 1 then on connect. Wouldn't connect.. So what I did is to click on the RED button and keep it pressed for several seconds. You should notice the bar stops scrolling when long pressing the RED button. Then I let go. Did it a second time and third time and on the third try it connects.

Tried it 6 or 7times and works everytime. Try it out and see if it works on yours.

If the "Trial" is working on a Android box using the STB-Emulator, Does anybody knows if the full IPTV service to be offered(the paying one) will be available as well on the android?
The reason is because I have both the MAG254 (already have it working) and an android box, that way I can purchase two rockets...

This method works here too. I had saw mine connect once before, but never since that one time. Tried with 4 different slots I had filled in before and all connected fine.

I have to be careful after it connects, usually wait @10 seconds after it turns green before exiting out. If I exit clear out of the app you need to start over again every time. If it keeps loading then chances are you lost connection.

I have checked before by exit once and scrolling the movie menu down- if it's not connected it'll exit out and search for connection again.

For me, I had the same info entered in 4 slots and held the red button for @ 10 seconds before going to the next. Slot 2 was the first to connect for me but all connected after. It's finicky about it too, and sometimes you need to let it sit connected for a few seconds before exiting to go into the vod menu. Cursing seems to help.......

IDK yosemite, for me that's how the avov connected. I tried MANY hours before that and that's the fix that worked. The setting tab is the only place it connects for me too, I've left it connecting on the main screen for hours with no connect. I hold the red button down for 10 seconds or so and it connects @5 seconds after I let up. When it connects in the settings tab the dot turns blueish and the bar changes to yellow.

Hope an update comes out the pipe to fix it soon

Those are android boxes, right? Probably only way to find out is install the STB emulator. My generic android box (dual core) I use for XBMC seems to work, but the remote isn't coded for running android aps.

Actually any wireless key board with a usb stick will work easily.
Sure anywhere you can install the stb emulator it should work with no problem, here I have it running on an android iptv box and on my pc.:)

I would love to see it work on my kodi. I really see it very achievable it's just a matter of finding the right repo that will merge with kodi, for some reason I got the sense that something is out there which could work for this purpose, it's just a matter of putting your hand on it.:)

I don't think the rocket URL is working right now.
Rockycat posted it in answer so members could see that it will be a different URL between the NFPS and the Rocket iptv services.
We were testing that rocket URL the other night in staff area, and worked well..... Same as nfps content.
Then next morning, Rocket was shut off and moments later the nfps came on for this public trial.

Observation on Vod testing : This morning i sat down to watch Monuments men , first 5 minutes worked good but after 11 minute mark , got lots of freezing and stoppage to the point i had to turn it off . Don,t know if its the movie or they are doing server work , My network is solid in the home with 150 dwn 15 up , nothing else working in the home but the mag254 . rebooted router and still freezing . just thought i would pass this along to the higher ups :D

asft , thats how I got mine to work also the first night of the trial. I think BIO made a sticky about that in the Avov section. You could have been up and running sooner!! :D

But since the other day, it's refused to stay connected. I even received a message that the box is now blocked from the server.

But low and behold it's working today now.
Connected for me just like it did a few days ago.

It's not the TV Online update, I keep telling you guys that it's conflicting with avov http server, but what do I know :)

After all the programming I can get the VODs but when I click on a movie I get "FILE MISSING". I can get all the You Tube movies but not the VODs. it looks like I'm the only one having this problem because I have been trying to resolve this since the trial testing began. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out.

this is a good setting for picture quality if you set up your 1080i
also set up in video output mode to

and graphic resolution to

I backed everything out and re entered info this time without the http. It will run for about 30 seconds and then freez for about 30 seconds. It is just unwatchable. I will try anything if someone has more suggestions. Thanks

Are you using a Limesat FTA receiver ?
That receiver will connect to nfps PS service, but will not connect to the nfps iptv service.

Your nfps donation code could be upgraded paying a small extra fee to include the iptv service as long as they are active but it's not out yet, so hold on your codes until things get ready.:)

Nobody else in house so nothing using internet but me. I'll try later today and will try speed test . Still funny why ran great for first two days but now freezing at same time others are having same program. Thanks for help and I'll reboot and try again.

Your node or local internet group shares the same internet, so your neighbor can slow you down. Internet problems down the line can also interrupt of slow you, like an isp or dns problem. Or your isp can decide (or their server automatically) that you're hogging their bandwidth and slow you down. Most isp state up to and include a FAP

I just checked mine and loss is an understatement. Server slots were empty, all 4 of them I had filled in. Had mine unplugged for a while so will be doing the same to see if that is/was maybe the cause. Still connected after putting the server back in and holding the red button though.

Had some awful freezing this morning, I mean it was real awful.
Removed a few torrents that had up and no more freezing.
I've always known that active torrents can cause freezing, but funny thou cause these same torrents been up for this whole time and this is the first time they caused the iptv to freeze.
I suppose I could fix that by setting priority maybe, but was easiest to just shut off :)

My Mag254 is working perfect and set up was very easy. Got my Avov x1, followed the instructions and could not connect for a whole day. Finally did factory default and started all over. After writing the portal url did the recommendation by some forum members of pressing the red (History) button right away and got connected. At first experienced some freezing in a HD movie, but went to settings and changed the video graphics. Started the movie again and no problem. All ran smooth.

Today when I turned on the Mag254, the PPV HD was empty. No movies listed. I rebooted the receiver, and now there is no connection on the Network part, but WiFi is enabled. Also I cannot go to the portal. I still wish to use the WiFi instead of network. Any help on this?

Yes, it will work on the avov. There is a header update right now, make sure you get it because it seems to fix the connection issues it had
