Is anyone else having the same issue as I am? I'm running kodi on my fire tv using iptv stalker (live tv in Kodi) every time I try to watch something it buffers every 3 seconds. I do have a addon that does download content and is filling up my storage space so I'm wondering if that can be the issue or is it on the server side?

Have you tried cleaning, cache, and purging packages?

Netflix, Hulu Plus, and many good IPTV automatically test your Internet speed before a video begins streaming. Based on its determination of your speed, it will deliver the best video quality—from standard definition to 1080p—that it thinks will run smoothly on your computer or device

Here is a list of the Internet speeds recommended by several popular streaming services:

Netflix

1 Mbps for viewing on a laptop computer
2 Mbps for SD video on a TV
4 Mbps for 720p HD video
5 Mbps for "the best video and audio experience" (according to Netflix)

Hulu Plus
Note: If a TV show or movie repeatedly needs to buffer, Hulu Plus will stop streaming the video and recommend that you downgrade the video quality.

1 Mbps for SD video
2 Mbps for 720p video
Over 3.2 Mbps for best quality HD video and audio

Vudu
Note: All Vudu movies are streamed with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 audio.

1.0 - 2.3 Mbps for SD video
2.3 - 4.5 Mbps for 720p video
4.5 - 9.0 Mbps for HDX 1080p video
Over 9 Mbps for 3D HD movies

I have 76mbp for my internet so I'm guessing that should be good since it worked fine before, what are the packages I have to purge? Is there a way to have the userdata /download folder move to an external USB versus the fire tv?

I'll try that although streaming movies is not a problem just watching iptv, that's why I'm confused a bit but thanks everyone for their inputs I'll keep working on this

yeah Stalker was a issue for me to get right. i re did my fire tv from scratch added kodi, rebooted. added metalkettle installed stalker then add on installer with maintenance tool cleared cache and purged packets rebooted and it worked fine. i installed a few other add ons one by one with the stepsi said above and it works great. Are you installing by adding source or by file through a thumb drive? add source is the proper method.

If we talk about KODI - right-click (ор menu by remote control) on the selected portal and there will be displayed "clear cache"

I also have verizon fios. I'm running kodi 14.

Hey Mikey... Did you ever getting working again?

raymond

so here is my update ...i noticed that when i bring up live tv, you can usually preview the channel on the right hand side....while in preview mode there is not buffering what so ever! Perfect right! well once i click to watch full screen...it returns to buffering after a minute or so, then i click back to go to channel browsing/preview and the buffering goes away. I know i still havent found a solution although still trying to figure out but i just wanted to put it out there in case other people are having the same issue as i am.

if its not buffering in the preview window at them dimentions have you played around with the screen settings to see if its set larger than the screen settings will allow, what i mean is my settings in kodi screen resolution are at 1280x1024 but theres 2 of those settings and if i have it set to the other 1280x1024 i get every few seconds pausing/screen breakups sounds out of sync and so on
