hi
moved from vegas to southernoregon and hooked up buzz 4900
ppv movies seem to work everythng else gets message mewdia format not supported

had to do a hard reset because buzz wanted to update and I couldnt get on internet

tried to change media player but it is not highlighted so not an option

think I am on tmobile home internet now not sure staying with relatives

also how curious how to get westerns on channel 342 again

thinking I might be missing a codec? I used to be aboe to select a diff media player and wouldd that even hep or not

unfortunately for me changing portal had no effect still says media format not supported

Menu/Settings/Configuration/Video Player/Live TV.
You can't change it there?

unplug the power cable while the buzz is on, for just a few seconds, then retry.

You are getting internet connection and server connection, even if just to get a channel list loaded. Those PPV channels are redirects and don't work the same as other channels. A channel list will load first and then the handshake and etc... Them PPV channels only need the channel list to load and they will work, even if other channels don't. In other words you could get the PPV channel's separate URL and open that one channel simply thru a PLaylist player and never even connect to papiao and the channel will work, but you'd have to get the channel URL first, which you get from papiao server, included in the channel list.
So anyway, that is why you'll get PPVs, as long as the channel list loaded and the right media Player is chosen.
It seems server connection is timing out or resetting on you, even before time starts. Is why some kind of reboot or IPTV reset or portal change might have helped.
Try that pulling power cord from the buzz box while it is powered on with buzz app opened.
Try rebooting the router too, but I generally leave that alone as it seldom if ever changes anything.... but a boot in the rear sometimes .... when you know that rest :)

I have seen this message before when the device losses connection with the channel, but not the server. So it's not always about the media player.
If there is no channel for the media player to see, but the connection is live, so it shows the media player error message.
If it lost server connection altogether it'd give a 'Not found 404 error'.

Start up the Buzz app and go to Server settings and disconnect which ever you have showing as connected (MAC or XC or m3u), then exit menu, re-eneter menu and attempt to connect to one that wasn't connected before. Exit menu, re-enter and disconnect that one and reconnect to the one you have setup... exit, check results.

Go to the Play Store and download/install Proton VPN and see if that helps.

before the scree wouod go boaci and the message would be ssteady on a back screeen. now the screen stays the same and shows whats playing, whats next and oooks normal except no video. the message now shows up for three seconds and then off three seconds and repeats forever.

fyi..when i unplug buzz b0x and restart it it shows message preparing to download message but I turned off the tv and oet it run aoo night and the message never changed and it never diownloaded anything.

is a new box in order or wouod that heop?

I dont think new box will help but you can try.
is tmobile a mobile phone service? if have enough speed and coverage should work fine. here in Africa we have bad mobile coverage and low speed does not work but local broadband with 5-12 mbps no issue. so if you have around that much from tmobile then should be fine.
