2024 NASCAR Die Cast Contests

Yawn.... coming out of Nascar hibernation. Hail to the champion Ryan Blaney.


Ok, Daytona in 17 days... I'll start the 2024 season thread before the Clash this weekend, but its not part of the opening contest.


We will do the same format as last year for the first 3 races... pick a full time driver, and predict the total points for 2 of the 3 races. (Daytona, Atlanta, Vegas). The closest to the actual point total will get the diecast... assuming that the diecast is still in play. :)

The entry rules may be changed, but you need to have participated in the contests over the years. We will open the contest after the Colosseum Clash race, and keep the entries open until the Atlanta race green flag in case Daytona isn't your cup of tea (or just under a rock.)

Nothing on the line for the Clash, but Go Chastain!

Contest is open. Probably will need a minimum number to make it worthwhile, TBD on Race Day. Will use the drivers that were in the clash (or tried to be) to pick from. The challenge... predict the points for 2 of the next 3 races of a driver of your choice from the clash starting order (assuming they will be full time drivers). Winner will be the one that is closest to the the actual total, in the case of a tie, the earliest entry will win. Open to those who were in previous contests...

Ok, with Ryu joining, previous entries do have the option of resubmitting for the next two races only. In my opinion, it really won't help unless you had a really bad start... if you have a real good driver. If you do want to change, don't modify the one you already posted, just add it below.

Yea , my diecast contact guy changed and this new guy only has so many to choose from. So it's easiest if I choose the diecast.
I will always try finding the best diecast for each winner that my guy has available :)

yea, I was gonna accept the win but when I went to the post office and tried mailing the diecast to myself the lady behind the counter asked me if I was nuts :)

hey guys
I have some news. I won't be able to complete my commitment to supply these diecasts.
I have run into some financial difficulties and the prices my contact wants for these diecasts (the good ones) are just too high for me.
Some of you know that I run a janitorial company. We lost our main job due to cut backs, in other words they are loosing money in this economy we find ourselves in.
I still have two smaller jobs we do so I am not in the doghouse just yet :)

Boy oh boy things are getting crazy. Maybe not getting there anymore but We are there.
Back in 2019 before all this 'scamdemic' happened, we had 15 employees and myself and my sister which made 17 of us. And we had 10 to 15 jobs or contracts at any given time.
The first scamdemic wave hit and thru the next couple years we lost most all our employees except for two, but was okay thou cause we also lost our jobs except 3
Now with loosing this big contract we are down to two smaller jobs and just me doing the work, with my sister as the company owner.

It's been tough and getting tougher :(

The governments are to blame. They are corrupt beyond belief.

Anyways, sorry about this guys :(

The 23 % carbon tax is coming into effect April 1st.
Along with all the other taxes on us, it's a struggle.

Not for our parliament members thou, they will be getting a pay raise come April 1st.

It will be 8500 more per year per MP.
Trudy will be getting double that cause he collects an MP salary and a PM salary, so his 8500 will be 17,000

Things will get ugly !

In Ontario Ford keeps on saying it will be only be 3¢/litre more yet it's already going up.And diesel is 10¢/litre more which is what they use to ship goods.
I feel sorry for my sons having to live this way.

there's alot to deal with for our kids and grand kids. Just looking at the currency they want in effect is all about digital everything, total control. Worse thing is the young of all of us will think the craziness bullchit is the norm, cause that's all the know.
Imagine never knowing.

I am sure your kids are past that chit Big Mac, just on deduction of age... and if correct, they gots hope :)
