The Mag devices are not androids, they run on a Linux Operating System and so they use firmware /middleware for functionality, unlike other iptv devices, which run on an Android OS and which utilize Apps for iptv and other functions.
Your Mag does not use Apps, cause it's not an Android.
That 254 most likely has the Stalker Middleware onboard.
Most all mag boxes came with the Stalker until a few years ago when infomir changed from Stalker to Ministra Middleware.
So now all Mag devices from infomir carry the Ministra Middleware. Well there are a couple exceptions, which are their Hybrid models, which are Androids, but there are only one or two of those models and may be discontinued now.
So to use a Mag device you'd need a server that supports Stalker or the more recent Ministra.
Papiao now does that :)

The specs for each Mag device will be listed at infomir's website and will show if the OS is Linux or Android and will also show if the middleware is Stalker or Ministra (both middleware are compatible with papiao).
*Sorry about the lengthy explanation for a simple thing, but now you may know more then you may have before :)
