2023 NASCAR Diecast Contest

Details:

Contest will open after the end of the Nashville Race. Entries will close one lap before the end of Stage 1 at Chicago.

Entrants will pick one driver in the top 25 in Drivers Points and guess the total number of points the driver gets over the next three races at:

Chicago Street Course (Grant Park 220)
Atlanta Super Speedway (Quaker State 400)
New Hampshire (Crayon 301)

The closest to the guess will win the right to the diecast. If there is a tie, the earlier entrant will win. You can pick a driver that someone else picked, just don't use the same number of points, duh. Only one entry per member.

Late entry rules... if anyone wants to join but was too late for the Chicago race, you can guess on the three races following. Entry must be in before the green flag on Atlanta. Entrants that made the Chicago race deadline will have the option to re-enter for the those last three races, but only if someone else enters.

I was thinking the other nite that if we get any late comers, like if someone shows up for next race , then they would play with the two races left but also get one more race after that to make up for the 3 races needed. The rest of us will have to wait for them results to announce a winner. That way play continues but gives late comers one race to join in.

As promised, we are doing another contest for previous NASCAR pool participants. The rules are kind of similar to the previous contest, but now you will predict the total of points for the your driver (top 20 in points going into Watkins Glen) for 3 of the next 4 races (Watkins Glen, Daytona 2, Darlington 2 and Kansas 2). After the Kansas race, I will figure out which three races will get you closest to the goal. The winner will be the one who gets closest to the goal, and if there is a tie, the earliest entry will be the winner. So, if you are late for the Watkins Glen race, your score will be on the last three races, but if you get your entry in before the start of Watkins Glen, you may get one of the races points tossed in your favor. The previous winner, Marley, is not eligible for the diecast, but he is welcome to enter a guess for fun.

A total for 3 races. The ones you use for your analysis/guesses won't matter. The start of the playoffs does not affect the points assigned to the drivers, per race, even though they just grant 2000 points to the playoff racers just to separate them from the field. The final race isn't involved, which doesn't assign points to the final four.

Don't worry about picking anything, I'll do it for you. But for your example, you want a score that is lower by 7 for any of your 3 current results. For example, if Hamlin has an early crash, and has a DNF, he might only get 7 points for the race, which would replace the 14 pt score. For my example, I'm lower than 20 points than my guess, so I need a score 20 pts higher on either of two current score, so a score of 30 or 43 will get me to 0 on the difference. A 43 would be possible by winning the race and getting 3 stage points along the way, a 30 is a normal score for someone just out of the top 5.

I got those from Great Wolf Lodge.The arcade was below grade and filled with 4 feet of water.They tossed out almost $1 million in games and I was able to salvage them but because of insurance claim I couldn't salvage even the air hockey table that was made out of fibreglass.:rolleyes:
A couple of girls got fired for taking the stuffed animals from the claw machines.
And in the end 5 40yd luggers went to the landfill.What a waste.

MLB's All Star game was sponsored on this car. I think that year's game had a few nascar drivers in play.
Jr played 3rd base for maybe two innings.
Jr had never played any kind of organized baseball game, not even a softball game as a kid, until that day :eek:
Luckily for Jr. , there were no plays at 3rd base for those two innings.

yea, I was looking for a 2001 version and the white Goodwrench car but could not find one.
Someone from a past diecast race did get a white 2001 diecast but I forget who that was :)

It's Harvick's retirement year (as we all know) and so what better car for a diecast win then a Happy Harvick car :)
