2023 US Open - Wyndham Clark

Saturday's round at the The Los Angeles Country Club, saw Ricky Fowler hold his lead at the top.
Fowler had been in the lead or flirting with it, since the first round on Thursday.

Rory has been playing some good golf too which has him tied at 3rd, I think.
Scottie is up in the top five too, and with a Hole in One today!

Sunday's final round ... can Ricky hold on ?

Ricky couldn't hold on and dropped out of the top 5 early :eek:
Rory McIlroy continued with some good golf heading to the 16th. and was sitting 2 strokes behind the leader Wyndham Clark. With Clark Bogeying the 15th things were looking bright for Rory who was now sitting only one stroke back with two holes to play for Rory and 3 holes to play for Clark.

The last 3 holes are all par 4 holes. Not very easy either, with only 10 birdies on all 3 holes since Thursday's first round.
Scottie did Birdie the 16th on the last round to bring it to 11 Birdies for these last 3 holes during the tournament.

Rory finished the Final round at -9 and one stroke behind Wyndham Clark.

Wyndham Clark is the 2023 US Open Champion !



McIlroy, who won four Majors early in his career has not won a Major in the last 9 years. That's 33 attempts to win a Major in 9 years..
He has finished in the top 10 multiple multiple times and has seen second place a few of those times.
But the drought continues !
