don't think they have fuel gauges 4me, no speedometers either (just tachometers) and hence pit row speeding penalties are seen and crew chief doing the fuel calculations.

Kyle B's crew knew and so did Kyle that they would not make it to the end of a 2nd shootout.
They wanted him to pit, but Kyle stayed out and I think it was because he had a thought that the second shootout would not make it to the end. Or so is my thinking and if true it was a smart call by Kyle, not genius but smart and especially lucky :)

Blaney probably would have ran outta gas too but elected not to pit, which got him the second place finish.

It was a chess game there at the end, great finish :)
Maybe more like a toss of a dart that was a one chance, non-returnable, shot in the dark, maybe more then a chess game.

Larson was loose the last so many laps, Hammy was judging when to pass him at right moment and did that with the help of that side drafting.
I don't particularly like Hammy but he did some good heads up driving.

But that nudge was not on purpose, so it seemed to me.

Your favorite driver Kyle Busch, has done alot more the nudging, some of which he should have been banned from the sport all together. I remember a truck race where Kyle was outta contention for the championship but he had a skirmish with his nemesis and spun off the track, both did, but Kyle then he came at a caution at top speed and slammed into that other driver hard in a fit of anger and on a caution lap to boot, effectively taking him out of championship contention but luckily not killing him. Kyle should have been kicked outta the sport then and there. That's not all Kyle B has ever done :eek:

Hamlin has never been the kind of driver that will intentionally slam you into the wall or spin you off the track, not on purpose.

If One Has to Bump, Dump, Nudge, Ram or Rub to Win, One should bee Disqualified and even Banned...!!! Heck not to long ago One was Banned for Free Speech and Nobody but, But, BUTT, a Karen or two were Hurt...!! Bumping, Dumping, Nudging, Ramming and Rubbing Can lead to Someone getting Hurt, Maimed or even Killed...! They don't bee Driving at speeds like They did Back in the Day, They bee Flying w/o Wings at almost 200mph Today... Slap 'em and SLAP'em Hard...!

Ryan Newman was one corner away from winning his second Daytona 500 after achieving the feat in 2008. However, a big run from Ryan Blaney made his day end with a story no one could have imagined.

Newman spun back up the track and ended up flipping after contact with Blaney. While flipping, Corey LaJoie struck Newman on his driver’s side and launched him further into the air and down the track.

The driver of the No. 6 car was taken to a hospital in an ambulance as fans waited for word on his status. Fortunately, Newman was okay but was held out of a few races until he was ready to run again.

Newman lost his full-time seat in the No. 6 car at the conclusion of the 2021 season and has not raced in NASCAR since the championship race at Phoenix Raceway.

lol bud, I apologized for giving you the gears, not for what goes on the track.

This is racing, and it will and does get hecktic. If these guys did not expect or except that they should never set themselves behind the wheel of one of these race cars. I know there are situations that never should take place, but at 200 mph it can be quick decisions that make the day, sometimes bad decisions sometimes good.
Davey Allison almost died in a wreck but recovered, then what did he do? He got back in that car and drove like the champ he was for a few more years. It's guys like Kyle B that need to be penalized for the antics he does which sometimes are driven by anger. An angry man in a 650 or 750 HP car, are not a good combination when the guy acts on his anger. Most drivers don't.
Ryan Newman played the game, he knew what he was into.
So did Larson last night.

A driver could have the harmless enough wreck and come outta it in bad shape. Earnhardt Sr is a good example of . He died behind the wheel just because he had hit the wall and got his noodle shock up the wrong way.

If we are gonna put blame on these drivers for racing hard then perhaps this is not the sport for us.
The drivers know what they signed on for and live it every day.

Imagine what it was like when these cars were a ton of steel with steel interiors too and chrome moldings still pinned on the dashboards. Talk about danger !

Rubbing, nudging and even slamming one into the wall is racing , no matter how we may feel about it.
This ain't formular 1 , it's nascar.
These men are a breed above.

Watching Monaco F1... a little different this time, with rain on the track, but almost all managed to swap tires . Max Verstappen has a big lead with 20 to go.

Edit: Verstappen wins by 30 sec (or so) over Fernando Alonzo, and then Esteban Ocon. Race was won on the qualifications yesterday,.

When they allowed their corporate sponsors to intervene to such an extent as to fire drivers , that almost turned me away and did for awhile.
Nascar is woke, no doubt.
Today I saw something that sickened me. They had a hollywood actor and not even a good one, just some idiot who appears in idiot movies, they had him in a chair alongside the nascar crew taking an interview. They treated him like a King (as the woke do), He is just a duefus actor who means nothing to anyone with some intelligence.

He had an accident with a F1 car !

It probably was a spot for a track employee, because it was a Chevy Cruise, lol. When I saw that tire fly over the fence I held my breath because if it landed in the crowd, it would have been deadly. The upside down driver had the ride of his life, but that open cage was super strong. One of the best innovations to open-car racing.

Coca Cola 600 will be delayed to at least 8pm to dry the track ... no twilight racing...but it will be very late if they do have a complete race. 8pm is way too optimistic.

On the wokeness thing, I just stopped watching the pre-race stuff, Green Flag to the Trophy Raise is all I care about now.

I saw that it was a Chevy Malibu, not a Cruize. Still way too close to the track to be 'VIP' parking. I got to drive a Chevy Cavalier for a few months 20 yrs ago, which I think was replaced by the Cruze. It was a corporate rental, so I really beat that thing up.

Thing is I have no more diecasts and no more paypal or ebay since they went freakzo on us. Can't trust them and will not give them any business.
But I will find a way.

looks like I have found a diecast, just got to wrap up some of the details with the seller :)
It's not far from me and so I can pick it up in person and therefore don't need paypal or ebay or etc.
I am not gonna tell which diecast this is, as it will be a surprise till the winner opens the parcel :)

okay people, I have confirmation of the diecast that is being delivered to my place. The seller sent me the tracking number.
I sent tracking number to dara so he has the confirmation as well.

So that means it's a GO !

Dara has not yet seen all this as he usually is not online everyday and maybe not till the weekend.
Once he does thou then things will move forward. I will also be sending out a PM to our old nacscar pool member so we all get a fair chance at this diecast.
Maybe dara could have an announcement thread and also in that thread request that all members who have seen it let themselves be heard, or something :)
That way we know who may be missing their chance, and will try our best to let everyone know and any new comers are always welcome :)

The weather forecast for the day has a small chance of rain throughout the day, but the greatest chance at 10 p.m. If rain holds off until 10 p.m., the race should be fine in completing.

The Ally 400 is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the Lebanon racetrack. The race is sold out.

Chase has been a little slow. So he edged up behind Hamlin who has been driving this track like he owns it, Chase edged up behind Hamlin so maybe to see how he has been getting around the track so well.
Well Chase rounded a corner but glanced the inside wall which sent him into the outside wall which was a hard hit :(
