View Full Version : Buzz 5 I have to refresh to change chanel.or next tv series
This just be my setup and not a buzz 5 app problem...
Or my setup of my iptv.
After watching a live TV show for some time (even 1 hour)..
When i go to change chanels.....I have to do a REFRESH or reboot of my box,to reconnect to the stream..
After the refresh all is fine for some time..
IT also happens on a TV seriers...when a show is over and it ready to see the next one in line...I have to
do a RFRESH or reboot, to connect to the stream again..

I THINK it does not happens on VOID ...ill have to look into that more..**

I dont think its my internet....netflex and other apps work ok in the TV...(I have not tested the xrs4500 and its netflex app much) I might have to do that...
Again I can watch a full episode of a series...but at the end to go to the next episode..(blank screen).I have to REFRESH,,and also on LIVE TV when I change channels.... its like the codec has to be reset ?? or some thing..
NOTE But as Im watching an episode...I can bring up (dowm arrow key) and select any episode I want (no problem)
BUT if I let the episode Im watch run out....I have to do a REFRESH to get things going again..
LIVE TV does basically the same thing...For a while no problems but after some time if I change channels...I need to refresh again...and the things work for a while?
what server do you have? nfps, rocket or 66?
is that using Mac or XC Api?
are you using or download any third party apps?
have you factory reset your box?
Im using Rocket,Mac, no 3rd party apps that I know of,
I have not done a total reset yet.
I was wondering if I should use XCApi...if that would help...?
I have a great picture and its a new 8k TV...1080p upscales nice!
I have not reset yet...Iv upgraded to buzz5
if you ok to reset and start over then before you reset try to clear cache and app data. see if that helps. if not then reset your box and start from scratch.
If I reset my box..it will go back to buzz 4 ?
Can I reload Buzz 5 ? I am on the update list for buzz5 now.
no it won't go to buzz4. once you update your box you can not downgrade.
Im not sure where to clear cash and app data is at?
Is it under RESET in device preferences ?
if you go to all apps in settings, click on buzz tv app and you should see options to clear cache and data
OK I did a complete Reset.......Ill give it a try for a day or 2 and get back to you..
IT came back as Clean Buzz 5 box...reinstalled all my info..... and off it loaded and ran!
BTW seams to change channels faster now ?? lol

** I went to series (Orval) let it run awhile the went to end and it switched to next episode by its self **

After some time of watching something like FX if i change channels ,I need to do a Refresh and the channels work ok at first..
I did try the 1-100 PPVs and they seam ok,,,and Dont need a Refresh to change channels among the PPV group,when the other live TV channels need a reset to work....... for awhile...
Ill try some testing to get more data on what's going on.
Im wondering if the codec is different ? on PPV vers the rest of live tv cxh 100++
Its acting like it loses the handshake to get the next channel ? then after reset its ok for some time...then goes out when I go to another channel and has to be reset ? then works fine for some time....5-10 min.

Seems is same here, kinda. After the first initial lose I get it back with no further issue.
And them PPV channels are FTA (no server connection needed) and is why you would get different results for them.
BUT... You'd need a papiao code to get the info that leads to them channels, so it's not an open window to just anyone, but them PPV are different then all other channels on papiao services.

I try my best to group issues into places but never end up with a solid answer for any given particular thing :eek:
I do see and hear things in a way some others do not thou, such as what a member may tell me thru PM messages. Nothing extrodinary, but things that tie other things together., if you follow my mean :)
This time, adds up to server issues, maybe. it's a crap shoot

It is a strange problem !
I dont think it my ISP,,,I have fiber 500mb,,and can run 8k video from my TV app on you tube...no problems switching channels
I will have to try the you tube app in the buzz xrs4500 box and test it soon.
I also run a T1+ box in the other room...and dont see the problem but once in a while. Seams to be much worse in the buzz box. ( I think)
It might be a rocket problem...not sure..lol
Ill have to do more testing.... But the problem is just inconvenient...The Buzz box give a Great picture and works good...other than this..

***BTW** I just ran both box's for 1 hour...they both worked OK....(changed channels) at 2 pm est ...
It might just be a server issue issue....?? not sure...lol
I have not had any problem dropping a channel until I change channels..
