Additional hard drive installed for storage

Sir,

I installed an addition storage drive into the xrs4900 for additional storage and the buzztv box recognizes it...but it says "safely ejected" everytime I try to record or access the additional storage. How do I get the box to let me access the drive or reload it for access and use?

Format it first with PC.Then format it as removable storage with the box.
