to think that we call our selves humans and when you see this, it kind off makes me wonder,what if the tables where turned ?Feel sorry for those animals people should never have pets if they can not provide for them,those people have forgotten that dogs are man best friend;I am completely shock that we as people dont do more to stop this insensibillity to other living things.

The custom of puppies as food has been in SE Asian culture for centuries and not likely to change no matter what you think of the practice. It all boils down to practicality and common sense and is in no way barbaric. The land won't support beef cattle and other than rice and some fruit the people mainly depend on the sea for meat. The only thing close to beef cattle they have is water buffalo and they are too valuable as work animals to consider eating, they are the most valuable possession that family owns. So before making judgments and thinking of anothers customs as horrible, etc. you must consider the motives and reasons, thanks...
